In the wake of RI.net dying, myself, and a dedicated group bring you iRO Wiki!

This is still literally in the infant stages, and we might be switching forum software yet, so stay tuned!

We'll be attempting to restore the wiki to it's previous state. To do this, we need your help!

FAQ:

Q: Is this the New RI? Trying to replace RI?

A. Maybe. The idea at first was just to have it be like the support forums for the wiki, then we realized the demand would likely be greater. Our primary focus at this point is to Save The Wiki (STW). Once STW is all said and done with, we'll judge demand for more or less a RI replacement.

Q: What happened to RI? Is RI coming back?

A: Lune decided he needed to move on, based on lack of funds, and other, unspoken things. It is very unlikely RI will be back. It was not due to bandwidth.


Q: I want to help!

A: You can help most by finding wiki pages, and saving them, and later restoring them! See the following topic:

Don't worry, after things settle down we'll figure stuff out regarding the forums.

Are the forums going to be just dedicated to the wiki and RO in general, or is this becoming the new RI, as well?

Someone convince Lune to put RI back up for 1-2 days so I can read my PM. It's pretty annoying not knowing what it is :(

There is already an iRO Wiki, as Dashiva puts it it's a "help site for Japanese people playing iRO". And Dashiva's wiki itself is iROwiki.

Getting rid of the Arcade would have saved allot of bandwidth too.

It's not really to do with bandwidth it was taken down. It's because Lune has spent a substantial amount of money on RI with little to no donations when he doesn't even play RO. And most of the time all people did were flame him or troll the service provided (complaining constantly about the speed yet never donating). In fact, the slow speeds itself should have been a warning...

I have talked to him briefly about the wiki. He also commended your efforts for getting together a site so quickly.

Blue if you need help modding anything after it gets bigger I can talk to a few of the old RI people. Although I think you have everyone's contact info. But it's a new board, so new faces might be in order. Just don't let favoritism play a part like some places did.
