How does a grand cross work anyway. The descrip reads "Automatically cast Turn Undead 3 by chance." Do I manually cast it? Does it proc while attacking?

I was thinking of Divine Cross so yeah go for it. 10m is a lot cheaper than the bgems it would have cost you.

How is Res Bomb calculated in terms of success rate? I understand TU but I can't find any numbers on Res. Gloria + 120 INT + TU10 against a full HP Anubis has a 44% chance of success. Pretty good. Does Res use the exact same formula or is Res Skill level worked in at a higher rate (perhaps because max skill level is lower and bgem cost)?

Res Bombing is expensive after a while, but my Priest is just a slave char (really slave, mag 5, asp 5, gloria 5, etc.) so I don't have TU. ResBombing got me almost 12 job levels in 2 hours, but I was just curious how the rates could have stacked up to using TU.

When I was 98 normal priest I made 4.3mil / hour (Well, I only timed the first hour after I reached 98) res4 bombing.

No manual, no exp shoes, no exp event.

I thought it was worth it.

1. Sphinx Dungeon 4 or 5, no quest required

IMO, res-bombing is worth it. Bgems really aren't so expensive, and if you run out of money to buy some, heck, you're a priest! Go sell a slave or party with a friend for a while to get some zeny!

It says there that the success rate of res bomb is equal to the success rate of Turn Undead of the same level.

Makes sense. Confirmation much appreciated. I'd expected the rate stacked up to approximately the same level of TU (I was succeeding in ~1/3 Resbombs overall) but I couldn't find it written down anywhere as being the case. "The more you know", and all that~!

for reference:
my FS/TU priest with 70 total dex (with only buff and gear and job bounse) gets 5m per hr using TU 10. when he reach 90-99 using an exp shoes and no bm.
after the 1.25x it's around 6m per hr. way faster than res bombing.
but if you're 97 already, go for res bomb.
