View Full Version : Arrow Question
Just wondering, what do you Hunters/Snipers/Minstrels use during WoE? I always hotkey my stone arrows and mute. Also is stone > Wind Arrows? Or no, because since people are wearing zephy and crap Yeah. So yeah just wondering.

silver/stone/wind
ps. you shouldn't be killing w/ a sniper/minstrel - you're better off arrow showering/trapping mass people or taroting/stringing your guild.

Question: Do the effects of an arrow carry over if someone is in pneuma?
[eg: Will mute arrows mute someone if they're in pneuma and I'm attacking them?]
If I recall cards from a bow will still proc if shot through pneuma, just can't remember if arrows do too.

As a gypsy, I use Curse Arrow, myself. Slinging for slowing people down, since even with 90vit you can still curse and slow a person long enough to let people catch up, even if they're a peco rider. I also carry sleep to get retarded knights/sins and such off me... or sleep them off the emp/stones/etc.

Yeah, I carry stone (for squishies), curse (for cloakers) and sleep (high vits).

I just throw on stones. Winds are chancey due to typhoon armors, and fires, stones, and silvers aren't good options due to valk shields.
As a minstrel, though, I generally don't go killing. At least not with AV - sup tarot. Still trying to sort everything out, though.

Valk shields don't affect Stone and Silver arrows. Silver is just kind of a bad idea, because Crusader class naturally has the holy def, and some (LOL who?) people may use Angeling armor.
The only situations where I find silver useful is for Undead/GR Armors. Even with GRs, I wait for Freeze+Asura instead of DS spamming. Means there's really no use for silvers, imo.

Every sniper should bring freezing arrows too, and have your guild stop meleeing said GR wearer and freeze it.

Well in such a case I would hope for there to be a bard/minstrel around to frost joke... But, most often, people are foolish. The whole alliance, priests, and all, think it's cool to melee someone with a GR breakin their ice u_u

Crystals, I meant, when I was talking about resistance. (And shadows.) I typed stones by accident, because apparently I'm a moron.
And, you're right. I checked Amesani, and it's undead. Thought it was holy, but I was wrong. Oops. (God knows I've seen enough of the damn things in the past two days to know better.) Even still, Faith is enough of a reason to not use silvers as a default, though why aim at the saders/pallies?

My valk shield says fire, water, undead, and shadow. ._.

Sometimes pallies/crusaders try to sneak around so that they can sac their guild leaders for recall. Hit locking them is nice, so that their cast can't go off. Honestly, I don't know any other reasons someone would target a paladin. Perhaps to status them? I dunno many statuses that work on those high vit tanks though.
Anyway, I was just trying to make points as to why silvers are a waste of weight as opposed to other arrows.
