I've been looking at the iRO page and Himeyasha's skill sim, and it says that for certain traps, if they are at a higher level, their duration is decreased.

ex.
Shockwave Trap lvl 1 lasts 200 sec, but drains 20% SP while Shockwave lvl 5 drains 80% SP, but only lasts 40 sec.

Would it be good to keep these traps below Lvl 5? I plan to use my hunter as a trapper in WoE and I want to get the most out of trapping. Because if I don't have to max the levels of traps, I can put them in other skills that might be useful

I use level 3 traps in WoE. In leveling, use level 5.

Level 5 traps pop too oftenly, which raises the chances of getting fucked over (rush while retrapping) Level 3 is a good choice, but if you're trying to trap peoples down, I suggest level 5.

Even with the WoE time extension on traps, are Level 5 still good to use for traps like Shockwave and Blast Mine? From the way it looks, using Lvl 3 Ankle Snare would hold enemies longer, and last longer after dropped in a castle, but Lvl 1 Shockwave would be more beneficial. I'm just wanting to get some good info from people that play Hunter/Sniper class in WoE since I normally play Monk and it's my first time trapping.

I'd say it depends on the situation and the area where you're trapping.

If you're trapping in an open place where you can easily replace the traps go for 5, else switch around between 1 and 3 for ankle and shockwave.
