Regarding the HP Skill Basilica

I would like to more about this skill and how exactly is works. AFAIK, it creates a 5x5 area of pure defense around the caster wherein nobody can attack nor be attacked. And if a person inside the area moves or attackes, that person becomes vulnerable to attakcs But would like more infos on the following and if am wrong about the above, corrections:-

1.) Does it prevent bosses from attacking you?
2.) Does it safeguard the people in that area from a Boss's AoE spell?
3.) Can support skills be casted from within the area (Eg. another priest casting heals and buffs, what about devotion if support skills can be cast?)


Would really like more information on these things.

Would be interesting to know if it blocks earthquake.
Right before mvp casts earthquake priest summons basilica and whole party can "hide" inside basi till EQ is gone.

Considering Basilica is kinda of a continuous pushback effect and bosses dont get pushed back, we can assume that it wont prevent bosses from entering the area and hitting the priest. But what about AoE spells? Would it protect a person from an AoE spell?

If an AOE skill is cast on the basilica, you won't be effected. If a boss casts a AOE spell while you, or anyone else is in it, you will get hit. Basilica does not work for bosses at all.

Also, as far as I know, the person who had casted basilica can not use any skills or attack at all. They are pretty much useless. They can pot though. I am pretty sure people inside the basilica can not use skills either but I can always test this out since I got the skill for my j70 point.

I once had a HP in my party in PvP, and she used Basilica. I'm pretty sure my sinx was able to cast SD while standing in the Basilica. That was months ago, though, so I dunno, someone should test it >:

If a HP has casted Basilica, they cannot move or cast skills, otherwise Basc is cancelled. Dunno how that'd be possible. ;p

No, a priest can not cast or do anything else besides pot in basilica. They can not even move to cancel it. You have to wait the full amount of time for it to be cancelled after casted. After casting, you will not move even when clicking on another cell to move.

oh you can cancel it by casting it again.

I had basilica on my HP for a while. Reseted skill after tho because i cant find any good use for it. The worst thing is the ridiculous amount of items needed to be used and you cant cast it when any thing (including your party member) is in the Area of effect.

Unless they fix it somehow, that skill is really sucky.:wah:
