question about defence points on castle

I was wondering how does defence investment work on castle as i dont remember too well. From what i remember it raises HP and Hp alone right? And i assume defence dont get raised when more investment is put into it due to icepicks?

Correct, Emperiums gain more MHP, but not more Defense.
