Archbishop Sprite Design!

I've been itching to do this up ever since the description of the Archbishop was released xD

I'm SUPER pleased with how this turned out - usually I use more bits and pieces from various existing sprites, but this one was mostly my own work, based off the Rachel Women ^_^

That's really awesome, I always envy people who are so good at sprite editing :3
I just have one thing to mention if you don't mind a little criticism; the bottom of the outfit seems a little plain, maybe there should be a design, hemming, or at least have the shoes showing a bit from underneathe the bottom of the skirt? And perhaps a cross chain hanging around her waist to fill in the empty space? I just love the little details in sprites, the rest of what you have there looks awesome though :B

Aww :( Yeah, that is a pretty badass picture!!!! I'm not sure how they're going to make them look prepared for battle if they look like the Rachel Pope - she doesn't look like she's ready to do much except go to a slumber party *LOL*

Thanks! ^__^ Unfortunately I can't do pixeling as good as the spritemakers at Gravity, so mine turns out a bit smoother-looking, but I guess that's not always a bad thing ^_^

I was thinking about it - but all it says is that they look like serious members of the clergy... of what clergy? lol They could look like just about anything with a description like that! I'm totally open to suggestions for what they might look like so I could try to make one... or I could just use the Male sprites from Rachel Temple/Rachel area and try my best xD

I've had a few people suggest the same thing on other forums - I left the shoes out because I couldn't find anything to cut up that looked right with the way her body was posed, and I didn't want to try and make something from scratch and end up not liking the results, so I just left it plain xD I'll probably try and fix it up a bit more later today, to appease not only everyone who suggested it, but myself as well ^_^

I was going to add a cross pendant around her neck, but it almost seemed to clutter things up, and I wasn't sure about it since the Rachel Women don't really seem to have any crosses (with the exception of the Pope's staff). I'll try adding a small one in at the waist and see how it looks ^_^

I really love the first design as well as the second design! The first one reminds me of a more elegant sprite and the second one I would say in my opinion is closer to an actual sprite in game. Its gorgeous, I would love to see you try some more you do such an amazing job!

Thanks so much!! ^_^ They're bringing out a Third class level (Acolyte (1-1), Priest (2-1), Archbishop (3-1) next year xD Knight will be able to change into Rune Knight, Assassin to Guillotine Cross, Blacksmith to Mechanic, Wizard to Warlock and Hunter to Ranger. They've only announced the 3-1 class names so far (with the -2 being the third levels of Crusader, Rogue, Dancer/Bard, Sage, Alchemist and Monk). The 3-2 classes should be announced soonish, I would think xD ( hope that helps! )

loveloveLOVE your archbishop design. you do sprite edits so well. i remember thinking your pirate class was the coolest thing ever too. one small crit, i think that gypsy or dancer sandals would be more apporpirate than the scholar shoes as a footgear choice. other than that, i love your design to pieces, you did a really good job ^^ i wanted a support archbishop before but your design makes me want one more~
