I'm making combo monk and considering whether to get OI or MS.
http://web.hc.keio.ac.jp/~fk061999/himeyasha/skill3/mon.html?10akakJkdAhFbnHSbn2k (http://web.hc.keio.ac.jp/%7Efk061999/himeyasha/skill3/mon.html?10akakJkdAhFbnHSbn2k)
OI maybe more common use, but im considering MS if it make it possible for me to solo nameless either 2 or 3. just use MS and use triflecta 10 all the time.
equip wise maybe aco set or armor can switch to waste stove to get signum crusis or switch to evil to prevent undead change from necro.
for weapon maybe slash (not suitable for aco set) or fur seal 2x boned magma fist.

Not sure how fast exp will be, necro has stone skin and slaughter also has decent def

Theoritically it can be done, any opinion or suggestion? might be something important i missed that actually make it practically impossible to use it at nameless?
Any input will be appreciated. thanx :)

ur aspd is significantly reduced with MS and it would take quite a while to kill there without being able to use the further combo skills

hmm thanx for pointing that out. didnt notice it in calc earlier.
just checking, 179 aspd will become like 172 aspd
and yah, when in MS will only rely on triflecta 10 to kill

I doubt you'll be able to reach any significant exp there. Solo will still be expensive, because you will still need many whites, even with MS.

Maybe level 1 will work, if you kill banshees all the time, but I don't think you will need MS there.

they dont require an unobtainable amount of flee so MS is not needed anyways.

I thought of an idea if you had maxed Mental Strength, wore a Grand Cross mace along with a Sheep Hat and you simply walked through Nameless2 mobbing allot of Zombies.

You would have to use healing items obviously and I havent looked at how much damage you would recieve, but with the reflect from the hat, the Grand Cross will automatically cast TU3. You could still do regular attacks whilst waiting for the Zombies to be picked off too.

being that you dont have a lot of int or luk...TUing would not necessarily be very practical.

If a Battle Priest can do it, and a Combo Champ, then I think this method would work to a degree.

why not atk and let it auto cast as well? much faster than letting reflect trigger it

I already said that.

and 10 mobs hitting you will trigger it faster than regular attacking, but of course like john said regular attack too.

The only way I see to UP with MS on Nameless is ekip a Sheep Hat and a Grand Cross...

So Mob as Much as you can and watch the monsters get killed.

EDIT: I have to read the other posts more frequently >.< *sleepy*

As good as it sounds on paper, it's highly impractical. I followed up on the idea when somebody mentoned it pre-patch. Even reflecting and attacking, with a moderate amount of int (50), while sometimes you could pull off a lucky 1-hit TU in a few seconds, most the time a single zombie would last the majority or the entirity of the duration of Mental Strength 5.

The zombies are also very trigger-happy with Sonic Blow, and more-often-than-not will get you just as Mental Strength goes down.

From 50% at level 95, following that idea got me to..

About 30% at level 95.

I wonder if it's possible with a slave? You could have the Priest hide so that everything went onto the Monk?

What about if you made a specific build for it? Maybe something like a total of 90 VIT, 90 INT, 80 LUK with Buffs. It might be hard to level up at first, and theres always the chance that the idea just won't work (Which is looking more likely with the addition of Jiete's post and the fact that MS only lasts a little longer than 2 minutes)

good luck trying to recast MS in a mob without dying.

well, you need to time when ur MS gonna run out. dont let urself caught in mob when it expires. maybe 1 or 2 still ok to renew MS, or just fwing if u're still in mob when MS almost run out.
I did nameless 3 mobbing with MS monk, duo with ME HP, was not bad.
that's why was considering to do MS leveling too with combo MS, but now i have abandoned the idea, i took OI, i think more common use for it

hi, been levelin in nameless 3 with a ms monk for a while
lvl 5 ms is 2:30 lvl 5 assumptio is 2:00 so it's pretty easy to keep the time if your priest doesn't spam sump. you can always relog to recast and timing it right is key, if you get more than 3 necros and you get double cast time in quag you're gonna waste a lot of pots trying to recast. It's possible to duo with a ME HP too.
