Reading system ?

They said it was implemented this episode but I've yet to hear about it by anyone.

I'm actually talking to Heimdallr about it right now. He says he can't find any way to obtain the other books (besides the cookbooks). However, if you have any of the cookbooks, the two book reading icons are there and you can read those through the book reading system. Just the other ones I/we currently don't know how to obtain.

Edit: He says none of the current scripts give them apparently, so hopefully I'll get an answer and can get back to you on it eventually.

When they were first added (on kRO), the patch notes said deathword was changed to drop some of them. I guess if heimdallr checked though thats not the case on iRO.

That's too bad they're not available yet. They'd be a nice "fun" thing to have available.

It's really cool that Heimdallr is investigating this though.

I emailed the GMs about this not to long ago, because I was really interested in the reading system. I was glad to see this because it would add some history to Rune Midgard.

Anyway, the response they gave me was as follows:
While a great many books have been scattered about in the world, we cannot divulge their locations. Please feel free to explore the world your characters reside in and see what you may find.

But if they're not implemented yet, I hope they are soon!

"A Chef Book Drops from Cookies (green ones)
A Legend of the Kafra drops from Deathwords.

There is an adventure story that is suppose to be implemented but I haven't found it via quest or drops yet. Inquiring as to how to get it from kRO."

T_T i can't read off lvl 6 cook books

EDIT: even lvl 1 cook books can't be read. do i need to do a quest or something before i can read the cook books?

EDIT2: nvm, i found out that the book has to be in inventory, not in cart nor storage. i'm pretty sure if thats the case, you can't read it through vending.

The reading system makes it easier to look at ingrediets and such without plowing through a wall of text in a tiny descripsion window. It just makes things easier on the eyes.

It's a really nice touch, plus the text can be amusing at times. I prefer to use the first "Read" option rather than sending it to the chat box using "Auto Read."
