During August 2008 adventurers from around Rune Midgard will finally be able to understand a little better the importance of the Central Statues around the world. And more importantly understand the passion and reasons that the Stonecutters had for making them.

If you want to be one of the many to pay your respects to the creations of the Stone Cutters you have from August 5, to September 2, 2008. Talk to Olisa in Prontera, near Odin`s Statue for an idea of how to start your adventure!

For more details see the Schedule of Events! (http://iro.ragnarokonline.com/News/Event/eventlist.asp?mNum=3)

Obviously you need to brush up on your stone cutter history, so here is some reading material.

+3 stats? Is that a gear, or like, a temp perm +3 stats untilt he event goes out?

Lord knows. Right now that page is in an extremely rough draft-state, so I honestly wouldn't go by much on it until it's more complete.

+3 to all stats? Sounds pretty good. I guess it's going to be some temp headgear. I really wish they'd put in those summer suits though.

so far each NPC gives you +3 to all stats...it doesn't stack or anything. D: i'm hoping there's a better payout at the end, or that the stats last longer than normal food :x

edit: oh...it's giving me exp? D: i've gotten 7% on my 90 rogue from the first two NPCs. i didn't notice because i had my basic info box covered with my F keys.

i know i shouldve kept those brigans :(!! are the npc repeatable??

Taisa

Gave me 1% at 91 trans for the first NPC. However you can't do the same NPC more than once (which is disappointing, since I have 2200 devi horns).

Edit: At least, the first NPC directs you to the next one (Prontera to Louyang, etc). I have no idea if the circuit is repeatable or not.

does this give you job exp?

if it doesn't then I'll just stick to goats for the less than stellar base/job ratio

rikai

Yes, it give job exp.

Base: 1000*base level per tribute (30~45)
Job: 700*base level per tribute (30~65)

Base: 220,000 per tribute (60~85)
Job: 110,000 per tribute (60~85)

Base: 330,000 per tribute (85~98)
Job: 175,000 per tribute (85~98)

5 ygg seeds per tribute (99)

7 tributes total.

The +3 to stats works the same way as a stat food.

Any of the tributes are repeatable after finishing the quest once
When repeating, you don't get EXP again, just the +3 stat buff refreshed.

I havent done any of the turnins. I was curious, though, how quickly are the exchanges with the 7 NPCs. If you collected all the items ahead of time, could you do all 7 NPCs in 30 minutes?

jaded

Not unless you had direct warps to half the towns.

The exchanges are fast. You click through 3-4 walls of text and select "yes".

As for using a manual, I would save it and just use it on standard exp turn ins since you'll get more bang for your buck, and of course better time/exp ratio.

yeah, its seems that way. I'm trying to justify spending the time to hunt all the stuff needed. The stats arent worth it, its too temporary. I figure it will take me like 2~3 hours to hunt everything I need. In that time, I could get 4~6m exp soloing, let alone partied.

I did it on my gank rogue last night to see how long it would take to gather a full set of items for the 60-85 range. Took about 3 hours to get everything needed and the exp was maybe 350k an hour. Definately not worth it unless they add something else.

Batman

Didnt think so. And the 85~99 sets would take a little longer, probably. Thanks Brandon

I thought the same thing, not worth it because it's better to gank for the stuff of expi than this one if you are lower than 85

The items the NPC is actually looking for will not change. However the dialogue of what they ask you to bring will be updated to fit with their requirements.

THere is already more built into the quest that the servers have not unlocked yet. More people need to do the quests I think.

From the Official iRO forums.

So something magical is suppose to happen if enough people do these quests? I wonder if it will tie into Talk Like a Pirate Day?

I did the quest on my 98 dancer. might not be overly worth it but it's decent xp return for it. Managed find 3 dbs while hunting for the peaches.
I might do it on a few other chars.

Xp event would be fun though, then maybe i can get my dancer to 99. She's halfway at the moment.

I had most of the items, only had to hunt peaches and feelers (in the same place) and still it took way too long. Of course I was hunting for 3 chars, but even then with the time it takes to warp around Alberta and walk and talk, 300k just isn't worth it. Easier to get that in a few seconds killing kasas.

As per the event changing if enough people do it, I thought that was already in effect with the Blessing coming to each town when people pay tribute?
