Hello people/members,
I recently bought nike+ running gear. I am going to do some jogging/running. I am currently making a new playlist of songs. What kind of music do you recommend for running/jogging. It has to be motivational with a fast beat.
I already had faithless in mind. What other artists do you recommend?

How about more "aggressive" stuff? Few songs I'd never want to miss in my running playlist are Don Omar - Conteo, BEP - Pump it, Polarkreis 18 - Look.
You might want to try Franz Ferdinand - This fire (don't know whether they are popular over there, if not don't be scared by the name), if you're more into electro/minimal give Booka Shade - Mandarin girl/Body movements/Nightfall a shot. If you don't mind not understanding a word in a song, try Seeed - Schwinger (there is an international version on youtube, but the lyrics are different and the sound is not so powerful).
Further:
Outkast - Hey ya!
Speakerbox - Hit the bass
Bonde do Role - Solta o frango (kickass song if your mood is bad and your daily run needs a good start)
Wamdue Project - King of my castle
Zebrahead - Falling apart (what's that? Sum41 clone or something.. good enough to bypass a hangover during the run)
These are not my favorite songs, they just can deliver kicks when running.

I did a few years of some sport educational study. All music cd's for gyms etc are delivered with time and bpm (beats /minute).
And most cd's contain dance tracks (=most bpm in general) like the one wk posted. It really keeps you going :) Its proven.
And i could generate a small list of tracks i like for jogging etc! but its 3 am atm... so maybe later D:!

Here's some for you to try out, Differnt things work for diff people, and finding good songs are all trial & error but here's some that have worked for me:
I second-- This Fire by Franz Ferdinand
Crazy in Love - Beyonce
Dance Party Plus - Head Automatica
Lets get Retarded- Black Eyed Peas
Get by - Talib Kweli
Broken Glass - Talib Kweli
Good Luck (Tim Deluxe Funked Club Mix) - Basement Jaxx
Fire - Ferry Corsten (Original Mix)
While Happy and upbeat is really good I'm going to have to agree that sometimes more agressive stuff is good for a push so the mix of upbeat and agressive is nice.
For Agressive might want to try Out of Control by Hoobastank or When Worlds Collide by Powerman 5000
