View Full Version : how will RO change (with multiclienting)
As topic states, how do you think the game would change after maintence?

A few (not many imo) people who feared being banned due to multiclient use will probably use them now. More self slaving/potting/leeching. I don't see it changing much at all.

Didn't most people who wanted to multi-client figure out how to do so before the patch? I'm not sure it'll change that much.
edit: too late

The only real thing changing is that the priest out there will have even harder time to find (decent) share. I've been experiencing that ever since I started my priest and lost my permshare(at lvl 90~). It's lots of fun to sit in Prontera 12 hours a day without a share that would actually beat healbombing(in both, EXP and fun). The record until now is 7 days without any EXP(and I even have 2 slave chars for Bio3, lol). Gogo priests~

Unless euRO really had only a handful of people using the hack before it got implemented officially. On iRO, at least Chaos, everyone dualcliented already that knew what they were doing.

I don't think it's just Chaos. I've seen as many as four clients being run at once by somebody just plain old leveling in Dark Frames.
The game shouldn't change much - a few people I know refused to Dual Client and they will now. Maybe some newer players will leech themselves up or whatever. Nothing drastic should change, although it'll be nice not having to go to a site that has "MAYA PURPLE/WOE DAMAGE HACK RIGHT HERE!!!" plastered all over it.

The only difference will be people who have to solo because of their class will now have an easier time, which is a plus in my opinion.

I know most people used it already, but at least on euRO, I saw surprisingly many people not using it before it was made legal. But it's seriously getting impossible to find decent shares with a priest. The only one's available are the noobs who have no idea how to play their chars and who most likely ebayed it all :s

I'll be able to use 3 PC's to do my potting instead of 4-5...
Still need to keep them around though, I don't trust woe and dual client on a celeron 1000...

It was during the Eye Patch event and he had a Sensing team, buff slave, and then off course the thing he was actually leveling. The exp was probably amazing since he had a pretty constant spawn.
I guess I shouldn't have said "level normally" - more like "trying to take ridiculous advantage of a relatively empty frames and an exp event."

Two players. You can't see the 7th, client being the higharcher leeching highaco in the corner.

wont change a thing imo, most ppl had 2 comps or multiclient hacks anyway. I knew someone who would use openkore as a dual client too (he'd log his second account with openkore, and play on real client). Everyone already had some way to get around the client limit.

That's how real playaz do it.
so PvM won't change much, better for melees worse for priests.
how bout in WoE , pvp , MvP scenarios?

No change - again, most people have some way around it!

Here on bRO most ppl have 2 comps or always find a way to log in 2 accs in one pc.. i guess it's not much different at iRO.
We hope that the dual client come to bRO too, ya know, if you have 2 or 3 acc, you'll have to pay for that, and that's what they want, more ppl online, more money.
But i guess that it'll not change much things on iRO neither in bRO

Yeah, won't change much. I haven't been on a lot of guild forums which DIDN'T have a link to a prehexed .exe.

In my adventures, back in the day. I only found one guild forum that didn't have hexed clients available, out of... well... a lot. But they wouldn't simply draw the line at multiclienting.... one thing just leads to another to another. Not a single guild forum I visited was multiclient only hex.
Nothing will change imo. It was already extremely common.

So people is willing to pay for two (or even more) accounts just to slave themselves? heh, that is much more of what i can afford.
The multiclienting is pointless for me, i won't pay for another account to slave myself. I can only expect to make a free trial account and quickly level up a slave, but that would be too boring.
Even in RO people get fun with themselves alone :b

for those with a part-time job, 12$ a month isn't much, maybe 2 hours maximum per account at minimum wage for a whole month subscription
it only seems alot when you have no income.

I have four active accounts, rofl. >_> Only one of them being my own. I have my boyfriend's which I renewed for 30 hours to get some gear for my SL, an endow account and another leech account which we got handed down from a friend. They're all on 30 hours but my endow sage's account is the only one I'll keep renewing.
It's pretty overcomeable if your currency is strong (or if you're in the US :omg: )
