Is there music you wake up to? Something that brings you out of your morning slumber and readies you to take on your day?

At 6:30am when i wake up for work i feel pretty much dead, i shower, eat something if i feel i can stomach it that early and catch the bus down to the train station. On the train i pop in my headphones and wack on Dragonforce or occasionally some Black Majesty and by the time it gets into the city i am wide awake and ready to go.

I listen to Cold As Fire first thing on the bus every morning. The oompa loompa singers make me smile :)

Anything loud and angry. Right now, the two main songs that come to mind are Fall Out Boy - Thnks Fr Th Mmrs and Eminem - Til I Collapse, though I have a local band's cd and Mindless Self Indulgence on my MP3 player instead at the moment.

I haven't had a work/school commute in a while, but I usually listen to whatever I'm into at the time that's upbeat. Anything from like dance/techno to metal. Shrug.

Has anyone else got to the point where they hate the sound of their phone alarm, even when they are awake because they associate it with having to get up?

I hate the sound of my ringtone, I associate it with work calling me in so often on days I have lie-ins. They've actually called me SO OFTEN that I still shit myself when I hear the tune, despite the fact I have it set for all contacts bar one.

The one other person is someone I really hate, so I set them to the Emperor March or whatever (Darth Vader theme) so I know when they're calling me. Probably won't pick up, they're so damn annoying. I'd also like to note that my brother put the star wars mp3s on my phone, not me. ):

The alarm on my phone is some utter crap that's on by default, I think it's called funky or something. It gradually increases volume for each like 10 seconds you don't switch it off, so I feel kinda bad on my flatmates when I only wake up once it's at max volume cause I have no idea how long it's been on for.

As for actually walking to uni... it's like literally 30 seconds away so I don't even waste time putting on headphones.

It depends on my mood in terms of which songs really wake me up but I take a GO Bus 5 times a week so I definitely NEED a song to wake me up or i'll end up sleeping on the way to uni :P. I don't think there's ever been ONE song that always wakes me up. It changes from time to time.
