so the -20% from these proofs last 3mins or 20mins? and can anyone also confirm if it last after a death?
Lasts 20 minutes and is removed upon death. (same as the stat boosting foods)

One thing I'm not clear on, is if they last through map/server change. I never got around to testing it myself.

As far as I remember, stat foods' effects do not disappear if you die and someone resurrects you.
This is a bit offtopic but: Is there an icon for the elemental proof potions in the buffbar(the thing at right, dunno what it's called._.) on iRO? I've seen some screenshots of servers with weird icons at right, and I made the assumption they're elemental proof potions. However, on euRO nothing like that is shown...

Yes, but the iRO client does not show them. They're sort of "temp" icons that seem to have just been forgotten...

Scroll down to "item status".

I'll try to test if it stay on mapchange in thors today. In all honesty, i cant feel the difference between fireproof and no fireproof in thors.

Stat foods actually run out if you die. I use stat foods during WoE and at times when I die, I lose the effect of it. But when you log, you still have the effect on you. I'm going to assume its the same with the Potions

I remember that stat food does not run out when you die, it runs out when you change servers (and die in woe maps is an almost guarantee that you will have a server change).

i don't think stat foods disappear on map server changes.. i once used some during woe, went to luina and broke an emp.. relogged after taking the castle.. then warped to valkyrie to break some more emps, and the icons and effects were still there.
one thing i'm pretty sure was they go away everytime i died. all these were during woe time though.
haven't tried it on pvp yet.

I've noticed this too. Do they have any effect at all?
well, I ate one statfood in prontera and it was still activated after my way to Kiel. But after my dead the stats were gone. Dunno if there are any differences between euRO and iRO.
Anyway, I guess it's the same for element proofs.

I've once read, that a proof pot increase the specifical defense for about 20% and lowers the opposition for 10%... Is that sort of confirmed?
If yes - Does it work to simply use the oppositional potions (e.g. Coldproof + Fireproof) to gain a +10% resistance against both elements? Or does one another simply nullify like elemts on weapons?...

Its tough to say really. Best way to test would be to get a biochemist to bomb you with bazerald. Then throw on fireproof, test damage reduction. Butterfly back to save point, come back, see if damage is still reduced. Acid Bomb being used because its fixed, unchanging damage. Although, we have a new zone server added today which means things could have changed.
Alternatively, just have a sniper FA you with fire arrows..it's also constant damage and doesn't cost bombs. Easier to switch elements than anything else I can think of, MR paladins might not have every elemental non-forged weapon.
i got another question which would fit quite well in here. The description of those resist potions say something like Resist Wind (Thunderproof Potion)
The player currently takes reduced damage from wind element attacks, but increased damage from earth. This icon does not currently display in game.
So for example if i take a Thunder resist porion, would that mean that i get less damage from water property attacks too? or will it just make me immune to wind attacks and more vulnerable to earth property attacks?
