Battle Linker Get?

BATTLE LINKER LAWL.

How would you go about building one of these things? I'm aware of the equipment needs, but what about Stats and Skills? Like how much Str is really needed? Is Dex really all that useful with a counter dagger as the main weapon? If I would get low Dex, how much would you suggest be the minimum amount for skill casting? And then Skills, what would you consider to be the "core" skills absolutely needed to make a good and effecient battle linker? It would be nice if I could get some responses from people who have or who have made battle linkers. Thanks for all the help in advance.

As far as "core" skills, Mild Wind and Kaahi are the only essential ones. Kaina can help compensate for lower int. Kihop is good, but you'll have that no matter what. That's more woe-oriented, but changing it around for more Kaahi and BS Spirit might help in PVM. (I say might because I know you're on Iris and the chance of leveling with a smith is slim.)

The downfall of Dagger of Counter is that you can't use cards in it (obviously). That means that you get less out of your ATK because it's only modified once by elemental weakness (twice if you're in a party, which probably won't happen anywhere but UG). So, that said, I think 90 to 100 STR is plenty. My SL is going 100STR/100 AGI/60INT/50DEX, with buffs; and with a few AGI gears on top of that, it can reach (real) 175 aspd. Kaite/Kaizel are the only long cast times and 50 DEX would make them about 2.5s and 3s. Still horrendously long, but battle is obviously not trying to compete with Esma/WoE Linkers.

At 81 my battle Linker has, with gear, 80str 82agi 50dex and I am building vit right now. He does great in WOE with AAR, I have killed Trans characters with it lol. As for final stats I plan on getting 50 vit then either getting a lot more str or a little more agi and str. Str isn't that important since we can't use %cards. Still, with a full 12 person party and AAR Battle Linkers can be pretty good! In fact there is myself and one other battle Linker in my guild and when we pair up together and have AAR we kill people pretty easily.
Skills=Kape3, Kaahi3, Kaite5, Mild Wind7, Sprint 10, Tumble, Leap 5, then Kaina 7 if you want extra SP. After that get whatever Links will be useful to you and your guild. The Bs Link is most important because with the Dagger of counter and a good amount of agi you can obtain 180+ aspd and really crit lock people into place and even kill most soft targets in WOE. It is funny seeing a lvl 81 Soul Linker killing High Wizards and Snipers XD

Also do not forget the Cursed Dagger. It is a lot of fun too.
