I don't even know if this is the right forum to start this kind of topic... My apologies if it isn't.

Basically, I just wanted to drop by and request a set of sprites and/or a spritesheet, but it would suck a lot without any contribution first...

So, I hope you like the spritesheets I just uploaded ^^
Features most of the already existent classes' sprites in every motion frame (might be missing some classes, as I couldn't find their spritesheets. If you have them, please share with us ^^), NPCs, haircuts in all colors for both genders, emote parts and extras (GMs, xmas suits...)

And my request is: TaeKwon Kid, StarKnight and SoulLinker sprites/spritesheets (both genders, female preferred).

PS: there used to be this one application that read the .grf files and extracted the sprites to .bmp and other formats. The one I have here (GRFTool) only reads the files that are natively supported by Windows (such as .mp3, .wav, .bmp...), but I'm pretty sure that there was one version that converted those files... Just mentioned in case someone has it ^^"

This website has every monster (and more), every headgear (and more), a lot of weapons and every class with easy sprite sheet inseatd of individual files. It also has a lot of other useful thing so I suggest if you're using anything else just use this.

It also has the heads in everyone color and postion instead of that one color per hair style bs. And no downloading.

I'm looking for a Cold Bolt sprite. One bolt is sufficient. Although more is appreciated. I've looked at the ROEmpire thread and the links suggested here but I can't find anything on the Cold Bolt spell sprite.

um... i dunno this is probably the wrong place to ask, but how do you guys magic-wand tool the backgrounds out of the effect sprites? i always get left with gross splotchy black parts around the effect (i dont know anything btw)

Could change the layer settings, like... Lighten, Screen, Color Dodge, and Linear Dodge. Doesn't work over bright areas though. Or if you want to try cutting things out... I suppose fooling with the "brightness/contrast" -> "levels" can help clean up the black areas.

(This is all assuming Photoshop. I dunno other programs.)

1 month lat3r: effect sprites as in sprite sheets where they have a solid colour background? It might be that you're using magic wand with anti alias on, and that option basically makes sure you have a smooth edge instead of a jagged edge on areas you select, which is not what you want if you're editing sprites

If you can find me a good screenie, I can see if I can dig up a similar effect bitmap, but any non-Priest magic spells except LoV are pretty hard to spot in the GRF since the filenames are a mess. >_>

The MvP sign overlaps ontop of the explode effect.

The 99 aura... is multiple pieces. It came up a long time ago, and nobody could really figure out exactly how to make it, but the suspected pieces are, two of these on the bottom:

I would, only they're individual .bmp files, not sheets, and thus there are about a billion of them. :( But I think I've found someone willing to host them now, yay!

I think this is the part where you take all the .bmps, glue together sheets of the ones of the same class with MSPaint, then save them as PNGs. :heh: Would be tedious though, since I think there're about 112 frames per class.

Where'd you find them if you don't mind me asking?

XD Yeah, I *could* make sheets, but I don't have that kind of patience/time. Ripping the sprites was bad enough. XD;

I found the palette files in the GRF and used a sprite reader to convert them to .bmp form. 'Twas a little obnoxious, but it was before school started and I was really bored. Lol.

anybody know where I can find some official Lif and possibly some of the other homunculi pictures? the ones on the official sit are okay for vani but the lif is a bit wierd looking. I need them as refference for a comic series. I remember seeing one on one of the other countries Ro sites, but it's pretty hard for me to navigate all the non english sites. I also remember seeing a wall paper or something where a lif was on the shoulders of her alchemist with a sly look on her face. would really appreciate it if these could be found.

Although the specific image I was looking for was not in there, it does contain a lot of stuff I can use. I did manage to find one of the images I was looking for which I'll post here in case anyone else wants it for some reason. I found it as part of a wallpaper. I had a more complete image of it, but I'll take what I can get. (also, google images fails, regular google fails too.)

I've found that playing around with character sprites and the palettes make for some pretty cool results. ^^ Does anybody know/recommend a program for editing the palette files?

Also, are the skill effects all located in the GRF? And as what kind of file? I really want to find them, but looking over and over has baffled me...

Oh, and finding the cards is easy, just sort by filename and they'll all be bunched up.

It looks like they're in "texture"->"effect", mostly in bitmap and targa formats. (Lots of .str files too, but I have no idea what those are.)

Most of the tga files in that folder in my experience are the pictures associated with buffs that appear on the right side of your screen. If someone manages to track down those skill sprites that have gone MIA i would really like them too. ;-;

I don't have sheets made (nor does feuillu, I think) but I have the zips/rars feuillu made at http://sprites.karinui.net. I dislike sprite sheets myself so I've not felt motivation to make actual sheets. :x

To quote Feuillu herself when I mentioned it to her since she did all of the sprites:
Yeah, unfortunately none of the dancer palettes seemed to be the right one! D: (I meant to mention that, but I forgot. >>)

So as of right now, there isn't a dyed dancer sprite on there. I could do it myself but I haven't any clue what they look like exactly. The reference images that's been commonly passed around are of no help really since they were saved with poor compression which results in fuzzy and yucky colors. :x

I don't have a screenshot of this but, when you try to slot something with troy, eventually he displays like 3 animations above his head (I assume for successful slotting), one is sanc, one I forgot and there was one that looks similar to sanc, but it was of a valkyrie, same as the one in valhalla where you trans. I'd rip them, but my GRF tool is pretty horrible at finding things in the GRF unless I know their exact name, and the headgears are all named in Korean.

If somebody can find the Korean names of the headgears, then I can get them. Otherwise I'd rather wait until all the Zodiac gears are implemented so that I can just search for them all in one sweep, instead of having to re-extract the GRF every time they put another in.
