It is probably just like the Adventurer's Pack. Pop it and you get all of the items needed to level like that for five hours. You probably get like a dollar off compared to buying them all seperately.

Maybe but I doubt it. They are just offering abundle that allows you to level faster that, if used one after the other, will last you five hours. Depending on how much it is it might be a good deal for say a weekend Bio/Thors/abby party that wants to grind for five hours(let's you take a break in between too).

The items in the pack last 5 hours if used consecutively, which is why its called a 5 hour pack. Has nothing to do with 5h restriction or anything like that.

With similar effect to current Blues/Whites; lol at the quantities. Some WoEs I can use a LOT more potions than that. To match the quantity, you'll have to mortage your house to buy them.
If they're incredibly more effective, then people will simply complain. Too overpowered/some don't want to waste extra real money to outpot some more people, etc etc!

Welcome to Ragnarok Official "Free" Servers...
If you want to pay $10+ for something that will last you a few hours, then just go back to paying the monthly fee and save the hassle. You still have the option to not buy anything at all .. that's what makes it free.

No if you keep the item itself, without opening it you can store it. I dont think theres a time limit if its opened up. Then again i dont play on the valk server.
Plus the fact that Valkyrie actually has players unlike any of the premiums :confused:
Premiums actually have skilled players that know what they're doing unlike bumyrie

what is annoying is that mdef and def potions should be stuff that you make with an alchemist or by collecting mats.. a game should require you to play it to get items, not just simply buy it with cash

Welcome to "Free 2 Phail" servers.
But why are you surprised? Normal servers had kafra shop since ages, just not that extreme, but you can be sure that once they see the success of all these pots and craps on valk, they are going to implement them in main servers.
It could be a business for "f2p" servers, but why normal servers with monthly fee have kafra shop?
Gravity just realized that RO is dying and they got no other games to suck from, kafra shop was the last resort.
Thats why i stopped playing, and thats why some pservers are more legit than this crap.

RO lacks content. Gravity needs to pick up and get off their lazy butts and implement a lot more stuff, even if it's just little things, to improve the feeling of the game. I'm sure the Novice Grounds, poking cute little pink Porings and fuzzy covered green Fabres, maybe a few Chonchons every now and then is just so much fun to those people who see "Rated T for Teen" when they first log in RO for the first time. Need the weather and night system. Need more end game content. Need more start game content, and more personalized content.
Thats why i stopped playing, and thats why some pservers are more legit than this crap.
Pretty much QFT, and why iRO is failing even that much more to privates, which are actually balanced.

At least they should try to make kafra shop items available through ingame. Battle manuals from the MVP, hats from the grind quests (collect 100500 <item>s from <12h respawn mob>) and monster drop, the rental weapons - forged by blacksmith with the receipt that dropped\quested, potions - brewed by alchemist etc.
Need the weather and night system.

Every detail matters to a lot of people, and RO feels terribly underdeveloped and basic compared to other MMORPGs that are beating RO in terms of popularity and population.

To be fair, people have been declaring that iRO is dead since I started playing four years ago. At this point, I'd be surprised if there was anything that wasn't a harbinger of RO's impending death.
Population going down? Servers are dying.
Population going up? People are botting more. Servers are dying.
Cash shop? RO's desperate for revenue. Servers are dying.
Blockage of some items in the cash shop? If they were implemented, they'd cause RO's death immediately. And at any rate, GMs NEVER listen to their customers; servers are dying.
Too few events? GMs don't care about server pop anymore. Servers are dying.
Too many events? GMs are doing this to hold on to players. Servers are dying.
WoE: SE? Last-ditch effort to hold on to leet people; servers are dying.
Too many updates in general? Flooding the servers with too much new content; servers are dying.
Too few updates? GMs can't afford to update; servers are dying.
Salmonella in tomatoes? Well, you wouldn't have projectile vomiting and explosive diarrhea if RO wasn't slowly dying.
Barack Obama becoming the Democratic nominee? Well, even if Hillary Clinton is a heinous bitch, she would have legislated for the preservation of RO. Obama will just tax it away until it dies. And John McCain would just send the GMs over to Iraq for 100 years.

Well, gravity didn't even cared about basic balance issues and exploits.
Gravity is in a grim state right now, their major money income comes from RO, which isn't much since the game is pretty much dead (thats why kafra shop, charging you twice for the same thing), RO2 and Requiem resulted in epic fail, R.O.S.E is pretty much unknown and it sucks, and that is.
And the real developers are in korea, USA branch and the likes aren't going to create more content, if anything is added, is going to be more kafra shop craps.
I would REALLY like to play a pretrans ro server without kafra shop.

The Kafra Shop and transcendents are not "content." They were/are imbalances that ruined the game play and fun of many, if not all players (in reality). Content does not mean new maps, mosnters, and MvPs. It means some thing else to do, than PvP/WoE/PvM or chat/shop. The Kafra Shop and transcendants even ruined the basic gameplay that RO had. :(

Fixed that for you. trans classes kileld the game in my opinion. It made it so new people really don't want to join in a game that they are worthless unless they spend their entire life getting to a trans character. Certain skills simply can't be beat if you aren't trans high leveled.
I'm not complaining, just stating that if you want new people to enter the game offer content that helps them. not content that makes the already strong player base even more impossible to defeat.

Blue had an interesting thought that trans just replaced current 2-1 and 2-2, with no rebirthing. Novice -> Mage -> High Wizard or Novice -> Archer -> Gypsy. Cuts out a lot of "Catch up" leveling imo.

The newer updates are focused around transcendent characters because they exist. I'm sure if they didn't exist, there could be stuff for 2nd classes. But that's never gonna' happen. XD As far as hitting 99 and then going "now what?", that's a flaw of RO. You said there's nothing else to do in the game, and I listed it all. That's the point. There needs to be more content, more stuff to do. In FFXI (for a comparision of a game that is "beating" RO), hitting the max level (75) actually is just the begining of your experience. So much more content is available once you get there, and getting there takes roughly the same amount of time as 99/50 as a normal in RO (probably more, I haven't done it my self.) There's people that have played it since it was released, and even they have only experienced 90% at most of what the game has to offer, if that much. RO should be more like that, it needs more stuff to do, because that limited list of available content is seriously boring. Now before people start saying "ZOMG GO PLAY FFXI IF YOU LIKE IT SO MUCH", I am only making suggestions. RO is PvP/GvG oriented, and well, it needs more than just that if it wants to stay alive.

i agree completely. i was thinking today earlier about how a 92 hunter could come to pvp or even MVP and compete with a 99 hunter just fine. but a 92 hunter would have no chance against even a 8x sniper, or a 6x biochemist lol...
pvp is empty because of acid bomb and EDP sonic blow. before trans, you could counter every "cheap" tactic with another class or by simply changing up your tactics, even in a 1v1 situation.
if sages had soul exhale /indulge there would be no need for trans classes whatsoever.

in my opinion instead of adding a new grind to RO, they should have added long NON-annoying and party-centered quests to get skills like clashing spiral, falcon eyes, soul exhale, indulge, etc. each class could have been added 2 or 3 of the existing trans skills and everything would be fine. this would be something to do at 99. also instead of developing stupid trans chars and new classes which are useless, they should have added more MVP content and a type of PVP arena like WoW has, or even some more PVM stuff like izlude arena (endless tower came WAY too late, this should have come out 3 years ago).
in my opinion the game was perfect right before trans came out. assumptio/acid bomb/edp killed pvp. there is a reason you can't use any of it in RWC or USRC lol because its just dumb.

If you like I can find the full list of scroll items released to all RO's. It includes all the AoE wizard spells (Pure MS Bard/Minstrel doing SG with 150+ dex and tons of int? Profs being able to move and cast AoE?), quagmire, Greed... there's TONS of things.

And the problem with that is it is way too much work overall because the standard is set much higher-- too high imo. It looks like the GMs' agenda is to either cost us way too much time or way too much money. Trans may have ALSO been to keep those who 99ed a reason to keep playing, but I'm sure there's a long list of things they could have done instead that wouldn't break the game or turn it into one that takes 3 years to reach goals in or catch up to those who have already played for 2-3 years or longer.
Those who are young enough that they don't have many responsibilities and have everything paid for by family can afford the time. Those who have jobs can use the shop because they can afford spending the money. I'm certain that the GMs are aware that this game favors those who simply have too much time and/or money to put into one game that is going to dissapear one day and give us nothing in return which we will all suffer from all the same. If the game didn't take 3 years to excel or reach the top, at least for those that don't/didn't have friends, luck or experience in the game to help them, then we would get more people playing. It would be more worth the dollar. I mean have you ever played another game that took you more than 6 months to complete or achieve your goals?

Well, I agree with your post, but Final Fantasy XI Online, I've played it for about a year now, and I'm no where near completing my goals. It's also very friendly for new players, allowing them to "catch up" in a perfectly reasonable amount of time, and even a level sync feature for those that would like to level with their high level friends.
But this ain't about FFXI. It's about RO needing more stuff to compete with MMORPGs like FFXI.

^ You are explaining a problem every MMO has heck, even television shows and book series have this problem. It is hard to maintain a balance between content given to bring in new players and content given to satisfy existing players/customers.
Tak eme for example. I quit RO two years ago and deleted everything. I came back a few months ago and I leveled a lot on Chaos but I am stuck at 80 because o flack of time and because it is hard for me to get revenue in this game at the moment. I have a job but I also have a life so it has drastically cut down the time I can play the game.
what do I do? I joined Sakray for some fun. I paid for a month and plan on quiting after that just to get my RO fix.
The main problem with RO is bringing in new charaters. They need to impliment items that are given to people who create a new account that is bound to the first character you create. Give them ehaling/leveling items that makes the transition into the new game bareable. I tried to start on Valk but it took way too much time to get to second class I had to give up because it was interfereing with life :-/
