Sakray - Episode 12 Now Open!

Sakray is now available for preliminary testing of the 12.0 content. Rates are 50x.

We have not yet added "helper NPCs" that sell special items or resets/job changes.
For now we need people to actually test out the initial job change quests so we can check that the quest journal is working well for everyone.

This update contains.

Battle Grounds
Socket Enhancement NPC.
Memorial Tower
Memorial Dungeon
12.0 special quests
new emotes
World map (alt ~)
Quest journal (alt - u)

Any errors you find please let us know via the newly opened 12.0 bug reporting forum.

We do intend on doing frequent maintenances to fix as we go so please do be understanding on that regard.

Sakray being 50x exp is actually a smart move. There will probably be lots of testers now as leveling only takes a while. Theyll hopefully find most of the bugs within a week so we might see the update on mains by...(lets not be too optimistic) christmas :p

Sounds pretty reasonable to me, as long as you guys report those bugs you find too to them, and not just to iRO Wiki. ;)

iRO Wiki houses the vast majority of players that are actually responsible/mature enough to make detailed reports and issues regarding bugs, mechanics, ect. Most on iRO Forums are "i stuk in grunds hlp."

^ Yeah, that was such a great way of doing it on renewal! The row of like 15 venders on both sides of the street and you could find all the cards and gear you would want with the exception of headgear!

Lies! It's still not working! I was able to get on with a novie I made a while ago after they reset the server, then decided to remake it and can't connect again, lol. Same goes for new characters. They still haven't fixed the training grounds to work properly.

Well, I was able to get on a previously made character that was still at the entrance of the training grounds (first npc). I'm thinking they still haven't been able to fix it to where it just goes to just 1 training ground instead of the 5, 4 of which don't work.

There is a map server that is being naughty. This is causing Geffen, Payon, and novice training grounds to go up and down sporadically. We are working on it.

I intend on getting NPCs that vend all the new items that came with this update, as well as the basic stuff that would be needed to test the socket enchantment.

This will likely occur either late this week or early next week. The breaking server needs fixing first before though.

1. Nothing. Except a virtually dead server, but it has 50x rates and episode 12 content.

Latest update from the patch notice:

*** Sakray Server Condition 11/19/2008***

We apologize for certain Map zones being down impeding the testing for many
of you. The server will remain up until we fix that problem, as we are still getting
some testing completed while the maps are down.

We are endeavoring to have that map problem fixed as soon as possible, but it is
a very unexpected and unpredictable problem, so it is taking longer than our initial hopes.

When full testing is possible, there will be helper NPCs in the middle of Prontera to assist in easier testing.

twice now i have leveled my level 51 thief to 61 in ant hell, and when the maya killed me (fucking lag) i try to respawn and it resets me back to level 51 since morroc is down, and takes all the items i found, including an andre card and elvens!

I downloaded the sakray whatever last night and when it was done patching and etc, I clicked "ok" and instead of the game expanding and giving me the login screen.................nothing happened. The patch window closed and I was sitting there staring at my desktop, and it happened repeatedly everytime I tried to do it over again. Valk and the main server patches are updated and all. Though I didn't restart my comp and that may be the solution, did anyone else have that issue?

Well, this should really go in tech support but oh well. I was able to replicate this error when I removed Sakexe from my RO directory. Are you sure Sakexe.exe is in there?

Barrage Fist is available on the main servers. It was part of episode 11.3. It's translated as "Combo Battle Glove" and dropped by Roween.

Its just bad luck. I spent 5+ hours hunting ragamuffin mant on valk server (same drop rate as cards on sakray) before I got one, although i got several other muffler type things in that time.

Wonder when the first wipe/reset will be, or if they just take Sakray down completely once testing is finished and 12.1 gets released to main servers (and bring up again for next patch).

This would be my guess! Would be nice though if they left current characters in place with perhaps an item wipe so we didn't have to spend so much time leveling before testing next time around.

I know it's completely unlikely, but it'd be awesome if Sakray stayed at 50x rates. :( I know the excitement and novelty of 50x exp and drops will wear off in a week or two, but it's still awesome for trying out builds that I'm too lazy to level on normal rates.

They need to change two things that are not bogs.

1. Bapho in sealed shrine needs to be nerfed. He is impossible to kill.
2. Battle Grounds needs to be like Racing, they need to have different amoutns for th ebattles. Have a 6, 12 and 20 battles and give more medals for the more people there. It is hard to get anyone to do BGs let alone 20. It will be hard after people get all the gear needed from BG to get peopel to even participate.

Yes, because starting over on a new server and working towards 99 just to have your work wiped within a month or two is so much more entertaining.

you won't beable to once it hits Main Servers so you'll have to do BG anyways to get its gears

Try killing him with a 12 person, all 9x trans party and watch when you die within minutes using tons of healing items. It is pretty rediculous how strong they made him.

He's not THAT hard, it just reguires good timing and a good set up. As long as you can keep him from killing everything with Hell's Judgement he's doable, even in his "CRAZY HAX" mode thats bugged right now.
