-- Oldies --
Black Jack -- a lot of life and death issues.
Monster -- very dramatic its like watching a movie, the deepest manga I've read so far, I still think the mother did it!! LOL!!
KenShin -- nice history background and its perfect length and good ending
~~ Recent ~~
Angel Heart -- (sequel to City Hunter not quite) emotional and you can see the auther also matured at heart as well.
Bleach -- is alright but too long I lost the plot already
DeathNote -- unless you are into level 36x36 sudoku with completely logical and analytical mind with IQ of 140, I wouldn't recommend it cos my head spins after reading 2 chapters in just trying to understand the intricate plot. But crap ending and really far fetched I think.
Ah My Goddess -- still going??? Not interested anymore because of slow release rate and poorer downgraded art work now (comparing with the middle when the 4th Goddess come out).

Basically its about everyone stressing out until they can't deal with it anymore, and it makes this imaginary creature and kill people and grow stronger the more they freak out like that. I won't spoil the rest.

TOUCH (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsO2anCkGhU) is my all time favorite series since I watched it/read it while growing up. That, and also H2 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IblFmIMIC30). Adachi's works are generically the same but I love them anyway. As for OVAs, Samurai X: Trust and Betrayal and Fafner in the Azure: Right of Left are two of my favorites.
More titles that I like. Sorry! I'm link-happy. n_n;;
Sailor Moon Stars (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7YgCvniySQI) (my favorite season!).
Slam Dunk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVFnT4Xip2g) - Another sports anime that I like.
Rurouni Kenshin (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLwcocSNtZE) - Kinda gets repetitive but I like it still the same.
Orphen (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWJ3qU4kx5Y) - I just like it and well.. JC Staff,ftw!
Hana Yori Dango (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEHVBjj3vTA) - This anime is so 80s.
Initial D (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYMTwASBfUw)
Aishiteruze Baby and Daa! Daa! Daa! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tBF1WtjDFg)
Gakuen Alice (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MZg6UJp7rNM) - Hoping for a 2nd season.
Kodomo no Omocha (Kodocha) - The second season of the anime is <3.
Kare Kano - So sad the director quit somewhere near the middle, anime went downhill from there. Manga has a nice ending though!
+ some movies and other titles. Kinda having a hard time narrowing it down. n_n;;

Seeing as how it was mentioned, and briefly discussed in a spoiler-free fashion...
I have very mixed feelings on Paranoia Agent; I love the opening theme. I love the overall motif and theme. The dialog is often perfect, and even when not it's never really 'off'. The humor, both regular and macabre, are a joy to behold.
The art...for some reason tends to make me think 'Anti-Ghibli', or like Ghibli's Evil Demented Mirror-Studio. And I find myself going 'sorta-want...'
At least, when it comes to the people, and the more realistic approach; I like it, but it also makes the more graphic and twisted bits that much more...unnerving and compelling, I guess would be the way to phrase it.
(On an related note, I'm convinced that Island Obsessional Park will be on the soundtrack for the apocalypse. So will Komm, süsser Tod (http://www.animelyrics.com/anime/eva/kommsusser.htm). And definitely the track from Hellsing that ends with the mix-in of the Funeral March.)
It definitely is awesome enough to be a favorite, and for all the reasons I mentioned, but I can definitely see how a lot of people would not like/'get' it.
