i wanted to make a collection of everyone's take on the 3rd classes and perhaps get other people inspired to draw them too. so please post your conceptual ideas of what the 3rd classes could/should look like or your take on official designs that have already been released. thoughts on what the skill build for classes are welcome as well, but it must be accompanied by an image! after all, this is the art section~

Thats my idea for a alternate rogue class.
Saboteur (Anti-Ranged Offensive )
Moves:
Unstoppable-
Ignores traps yet sets them off, cancels out cobweb and close confine costs 30 sp every 10 seconds.
Bomb Spritzer-
Does damage depending on dex, does 110% x 3hit damage
cast time depended on dex
Spiteful-
Passive, when hit by a ranged attack, saboteur takes 1/2 damage and
returns the other half that ignores defense.
Wrecking Crew-
When hit with a fire property skill at less than 40% HP Saboteur is primed and in 4 seconds explodes in a 7 x 7 tile range doing x2 of its max HP including party members/ guildmates. ( roughly 18K in damage )
not my original design but still relevant!

you guys all rock! more arts! MOAR!
ahhh Peachy! that new one is wonderful! i like how it's still simple but the paneling with the gold edging adds that extra detail i think you were looking for. the gold buttons are adorable too. personally, i wanted to stay away from crosses in the designs since the Rachel clergy worships Freya. religion in RO always confused me @_@
and yes, you always have permission to draw fanarts of my fanarts XD
might as well post mine out in the open on the first page too :D

should i post Kaivira's sprite designs? i will if she posts them in this thread, they were wonderful and got Noxy to draw her hot archbishop. but i didn't want to just take people's arts and put them here without their permission :x

runeknight!
i based this off of Chaos' first outfit in the manwa. um... i was having colour issues so that's why i'm just posting the sketch. the colours Chaos has are kinda rangery, which i did try first!, so i was trying out different things. i have a mostly red one that i think looks pretty nice that i might post later.

Pretty cool, if i may be so bold to reccomend some bolts on the armor? like little circle-y things? ...I wonder what a rune knight does? Swordmagic?
And I always like that pirate job class, though i wonder what skills it would have. Hmm..

no fancy imagery behind, but I think fits the bill for archbishop:
http://iris-subcon.net/images/bishopv.2.gif
just one thing I'd like to mention; when looking at aco -> priest -> high priest poses (this goes for all classes), they're all similar, so if we're following RO trends, third class sprites would have nearly the same standing/sitting/actions poses.

@Maximo:
you may always be so bold, sir! bolt detailing would be awesome. i'll try that later if i poke her a bit more.
@Peachy:
do you like the poofy pants? i was originally going to give her a tight skirt underneath instead but went with the pants that Chaos wears so that she'd be more practical XD but knowing Gravity, i doubt female runeknights will have pants. nice handwriting? awww <3
@Boom:
uh, wow. thanks!
@Ximena:
she looks very reserved. i like the paneling on the front of the outfit. and i know what you mean about the pose trends. when i was doing my pose sketches i was looking at sprite sheets for inspiration. the sitting one is supposed to be like a cross between the normal priest (i love that sitting pose) and the scholar because of the sleeves. i made up a new heal pose cause i didn't like how it looked when i did the standard. but i think you're right, they probably will follow similar patterns in their poses.
@Kaivira:
ahhhhhhhh, thank you. i can't wait for more new updates either! we'll just have to keep drawing and designing in the meantime! ^^
@Syku Wolf:
please do! the more designs the better! the name guillotine cross originally comes from the Ragnarok manwha. the assassin of the series, Loki, is an assassin of the cross (also sound familiar? :D) and every assassin cross is marked by the guillotine cross on their armour. only seven wear the guillotine cross and those seven are dispersed all over the world. no assassin cross knows the other six. you can see it here. (http://bp0.blogger.com/_U_pxlbrKYp0/ReyQcpJ0RGI/AAAAAAAAAA4/Gle_b2WwX3s/s1600-h/ragnarok04_1024_768.jpg) it's kinda hard to see but it's the little red mark on the breastbone of his armour.
EDIT: it's also on the girl's dagger in the background. the mark is upsidedown there but a bit clearer.
Kaivira's sprites are so awesome. They look very official. =D
I like Peaches's Ranger edit, as well as Remi's Rune Knight. She's like a Chaos with boobs and minus the ponytail. xD
But I noticed a lack of male designs so...
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y274/lykei/drawings/archbishop_m.jpg
A male Archbishop, inspired by the male apprentice, High Priest Zhed, and Ky Kiske of Guilty Gear (lolwhut).

Can anyone contribute to this thread, or is it art only?
'cause I was thinking, for Rogue 3-2, Maximo's idea is MOSTLY good, but needs more tweaking.
Since rogues are expected to do the strip/divest thing and generally be a nuisance, I was hoping the Sabateur would be a bit more of an antagonist than described so far.
Passive Skill - Disaster Area
Increases chance of negative status ailments taking effect in an area that increases by level.
Level 1-3: 3x3 area, %increase of 6, 12, and 18
Level 4-7: 5x5, %increase 24, 30, 36, 43
Level 8-10: 9x9. %increase of 48, 54, 60.
For some reason, I pictured it having another passive skill as a prerequisite, or a semi-passive active skill like Enchant Poison, only instead of it giving an attribute it simply increased the existing percentage on a weapon in regards to status ailments, not increasing damage at all.
Additionally, Sabateurs should have skills that screw with Fort Guardians.
That said, I'll have to draw something now, which will be purely sketch, but will keep with the theme; cannot do so from work, ATM.

I went through and made up my own 3-2 Classes. I have them all named, now I just need to figure out what they look like and what they do.
That said, I've got one done. It's for Monks (Yay!) and there's both Male and Female...although the actual drawing isn't colored. The avatar edit is there so you can see what the colors are like.
Godhand
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v23/Fruity/godhand.jpg)Gaia Avatar Edit (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v23/Fruity/Godhand_edit.png)
Ability/Skill Concept
NOTE: I'm still working on this...so yeah. It's really just a summary with rough ideas.
After realizing they're losing sight of their purpose as servants of God by obsessing over strength, some Monks or even Champions decide that they need to remedy this. By remedy they mean become slightly more party friendly but still remain..uh..monkly. Godhands gain a few supportive abilities to aid their party members, including the ability to heal poisoning, though they come nowhere near being able to match an /Priest/High Priest/Archbishop in that area. Sticking to their traditional ways of divine pounding, Godhands also gain a whole new set of combo abilities.
Okay, I'm done. >_> If you have any ideas for me, fire 'em off.

3x3 area. This would be funny in precasts.

Skill: Spike Mine
SP Usage: 3*Skill Level + 5
Damage: 50% * Skill Level
Max Level: 10
Consumes: 5 Traps
Skill Description: Lay a strip of rusty nails and spikes for enemies to stumble over. Inflict subjects with Bleeding, Poison and Curse at a (3% * Skill Level) rate. Also holds target in place with the same rate as Ankle Snare, but for half of the duration (Level 10 Spike Mine with hold the target as long as Level 5 Ankle Snare). Skill does not stack with other traps (such as Hunter/Sniper traps and other Saboteur traps).

Mutationist
...able to buff homunculus with mixtures of potions; if potion fails to activate upon usage -- it may debuff the homunculus's stats temporarily. [new alchemy books required ^o^]
i guess this is a more melee-styled alchemist im trying to convey. so you're not so dependent on your hom. to do your fighting. you might have more fun using this since you can utilize your potion making skills to assist in battle~ >_>
skills:
Acid Toss: [requires 1 acid bottle each toss] auto-throw acid bottles damaging the enemy 3 times while doing physical damage.
Homunculus Morph: [requires 1 morphing potion] Chance to buff homunculus's stats temporarily. upon failure, potion may debuff homuculus. [random stats get de/buffed] :3
Plant Assist: [requires 1 plant bottle] summon 2 random mobile plant type monsters to attack enemy. attacking monster will attack the plants; not you :o [duration: 60 seconds]
Homunculus Study: passive skill: study about homunculus and unlock 4 new types of homunculus. :0 max level 10. [QUEST SKILL!!]
GO KEVIN. that is fucking awesome <3

Oh yeah! I've read the manga and I love it. Too bad Jin Lee stopped at 10, I've been waiting for the next volume for something like years. I mean, who is that girl in the image? Who're the other Assassins of the Cross? Lawl, I would never have thought of Guillotine Cross.

Concept for 3-2 Dancer
Tamer (of animals and such...Comodo has a lion taming show in the casino, right?)
-costume design based off of Zealotus
-specializes in melee whip attacks and commanding skills such as forcing a targeted enemy to sit for a set amount of time or until hit (int affects resistance ;o )
-haven't thought of more past that (mostly being half serious, and trying to see how many innuendos I could sneak into the class)

Wow forgot about the alchy getting a 3rd class XD Most of us that I have discussed it with figure the bard 3rd class should be called the Conductor (like Orchestra Conductor); Dancer could be a Prima Dona or Geisha (still working on a name LOL). We came up with the names since hunter's become rangers focus on trapping; the bard focuses on control of others or something like that; Prima gets more attention with better skills to branch out with other than just GK or MS or Lady Luck. Geishas were the best performers to their attendees. We still havent determined what a sage could be since its already known as a scholar/professor and cleric I think. If its not also called a cleric then seems like the right trend since wizards become warlocks, sages become clerics in other games. But am excited a lil bit, figured would share my musings that a few of us have talked about.

I had the idea of gypsy being a Geisha too! @_@ weird. I was thinking that or a ballerina, focusing on dance related attacks or also a mistress/queen; which would be all gold and well I didnt think of any attacks for that one.
Kaorri
12-04-2007, 11:36 AM
Yea the prima dona was the ballerina and like you said the geisha. Theyre the top dancers/performers in the art world so made sense. But they definitely deserve some better skills with fewer prereqs.

I was thinking Showgirl for Dancer XD
Actually, you know what? I'll list my ideas for the classes they haven't released anything for yet. I'll have more art for you soon >_>
If it says "or", it means I'm debating between them
Monk > Godhand
Crusader > Guardian
Rouge > Trickster or Pirate
Sage > Sorcerer
Bard > Entertainer or Pierrot
Dancer > Showgirl
Alchemist/Biochemist > Scientist or Mutationist
Pirate and Mutationist came from the awesome ideas in this thread : ) Pierrot was from a fictional class...that was an advancement for thieves. O_o That made no sense to me as Pierrot is a clown.

Here's some classes that I've done (they're not that great though!)
Warlock Male + Female (http://irowiki.org/~xyrafhoan/warlock sketches.jpg)
Archbishop Male + Female (http://irowiki.org/~xyrafhoan/sketchdump1.jpg)
Troubadour (3-2 Dancer) (http://irowiki.org/~xyrafhoan/troubadour-class.jpg)
The troubadour, tired of just dancing, has also taken up singing to accompany the musician's music. While her moves are still seductive as ever, she also improves the quality of her songs beyond that of a regular dancer with a stunning voice. A troubadour focuses more on her songs than the chaotic antics of a gypsy.
Sweet Dreams

Increases movement speed and increases SP restoration to all players in a 9x9 cell radius. Skill level and dance lessons effects movement speed increase and SP restoration. Movement speed is also increased by troubadour's AGI and SP restoration is increased by troubadour's INT.

Having problems with my tablet in Ubuntu, so no pics.
However, based on what I had been theorizing...
Monk -> Brawler, basically geared towards Combo builds, but with new AoE attacks.
Crusader -> Templer/Temple Guard, emphasis on more defense and buffs. Shield Mastery
Rogue -> Sabateur a la Maximo, but with two paths - anti-range OR trap mastering, with a hint of status ailment enhancing
Sage -> Oracle, with decent spell damage and high chance of status ailments
Bard and Dancer -> Maestro and Dance Lead - can lead groups of bards and dancers to greater performing heights?
Alchemist -> Mad Scientist - more and greater Homunculus powers OR freakish new attack potion paths.

I'm so glad you did this, Remi! I wasn't aware so many lurkers here were artists... Or that they had such awesome ideas. And the regulars are doing a bang up job as always.
I'd LOVE to see a third class variant of the Monk with more of an emphasis on speedy attacks and combos. I love my Combo Champ, but I feel a bit cheated what with the impracticality of Champ combos as they stand now (they use too much SP and the animation delay is too long...)
I wanna try designing one now, even though I'm godawful at clothing designs. XD

Since I love sages I made a battle type 3rd class for them, a battle Sorcerer XD. They're more of a battle type using magics than a supporting class, they can also equip swords:

Insight (Active)
When activated, deals 100% magical damage to all enemies regardless of the property of the enemy.
Swiftness (Active)
Increase magic attack but reduce attack speed at the same time.
Nature's Wrath
Can only be used while being damaged by a long ranged physical attack.
Casts a magical attack that does 150% damage to an enemy. No casting time but has a 2 secs. recast delay. It randomly casts fire, wind, water, and earth element magic.
Fire property damage- deals fire property damage and has a small chance to cause bleed.
Wind property damage- deals wind property damage and has a small chance to inflict sleep.
Water property damage- deals water property damage and has a small chance to cause freeze status.
Earth property damge- deals earth property damage and has a small chance to inflict stun.
Imbue Weapon (Active)
When equiping Swords or Daggers, the ATK of the weapon increases the weilder's MATK by a given amount. This skill does not work on weapons that are naturally enchanted with a property other than neutral.

When I said soon I was serious >_> I have MOAR ART. Same deal as last time.
Guardian (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v23/Fruity/guardian.jpg)
Some crusaders have found that wearing big bulky armor makes it really difficult to avoid the blows of their enemies. They also have come to believe that wearing such armor suggests a lack of skill (Sounds like the Sword Sage from DnD eh?) So they stripped most of it in exchange for increased agility and generally more comfortable garbs.
Like Crusaders and Paladins, they can still support their party by means of holy magic. As their name suggests, Guardians are made to protect their companions, whether it be through shielding abilities or certain sacrifices. They can also deal devastating blows to those who dare defy them.
Showgirl (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v23/Fruity/showgirl.jpg)
Dancers have forever been all about buffing their party or messing with an enemy's head through exotic and graceful dancing. Showgirls take it to a new level, with movements so stunning and awe-inspiring it HURTS to watch it. Yes, showgirls finally get the thing dancers have been longing for: OFFENSIVE ABILITY. While whips are still available to them for their keeping the bard in line needs, Showgirls can take advantage of tambourines to add more music to their dance.

I think above all else, the 3rd class transition for Champs will be the toughest in determining their skills since combos get tricky. But I suppose it's not set in stone that they'll actually be able to go trans->3rd class, even when Doddler said that they might. It's just so far off.
With that said.
Monk->Berserker/Godhand
They specialize in personal auras and buffs that increases DPS and more combos. I think they should also be able to only go w/o a weap, or equip a fist.
Added Skills
Glacier Fist and CCC are added, but only if Trans can 3rd class.
Increase Spiritual Power: Allows the user to attain more Spirit Spheres. At level 5 the user can have up to 10 Spheres.
God's Fury: Must have 10 spheres to use this skill. Sacrifices the user's ability to use skills for overwhelming power. This skill imbues the user with holy property attacks. Lasts for 60 seconds and uses 300 sp.

Sphere Something or Other: Unleashes spheres to cause AoE damage. Damage decreases the further you are from the caster. Damage is based on available spheres. (this would be a pain in the ass to code because there aren't any examples of dealing damage this way unless it casts AoE spells that sector off into zones around the caster and are reduced accordingly by distance like; for lvl 3-4 the damage is 100% at the 3x3 area, and decreases by 20% for the 2 space area after 3x3, and at the full screen level, the damage would be reduced by 1/5 if they're out of 9x9 sector)

:o I love everyone’s ideas so far. They all sound fun.
I guess I'll share my ideas for the 3rd class Alchemist~
Summoner, their skill tree is based off of the summon skills that alchemists get~
All skills require lvl 5 Flora and Marine Sphere skills.
Note: *If* Trans can become 3rd class, Summoners would be required to know level 5(or 10?) Aid Condensed Pot if they wanted their summon buffs to work on Party members too. If not then I guess they could work on party members too anyway.
Summoning Arts: Passive, max level 5
Increases atk of all summoned monsters (homunculus included~) by 5% per level.
Summon Eir: Max lvl 5
Summon Eir, the goddess of healing to buff you and your homunculus for a given amount of time.
Lvl 1: Increase Def and MDef by 5% Increase HP and SP Regan by 5% Lasts 1 minute.
Lvl 2: Increase Def and MDef by 10% Increase HP and SP Regan by 10% Lasts 2 minutes.
Lvl 3: Increase Def and MDef by 15% Increase HP and SP Regan by15% Lasts 3 minutes.
Lvl 4: Increase Def and MDef by 20% Increase HP and SP Regan by 20% Lasts 4 minutes.
Lvl 5: Increase Def and MDef by 25% Increase HP and SP Regan by 25% Lasts 5 minutes.
Summon Tyr: Max lvl 5, Pre-rec Axe Mastery 10
Summon Tyr, god of war and justice to buff you and your homunculus for a given amount of time.
Lvl 1: Increase Atk and Atk speed of Axes by 1% Lasts 1 minute.
Lvl 2: Increase Atk and Atk speed of Axes by 2% Lasts 2 minutes.
Lvl 3: Increase Atk and Atk speed of Axes by 3% Lasts 3 minutes.
Lvl 4: Increase Atk and Atk speed of Axes by 4% Lasts 4 minutes.
Lvl 5: Increase Atk and Atk speed of Axes by 5% Lasts 5 minutes.
Summon Skirnir: Max lvl 5
Summon Skirnir, Frey’s shield man to buff you and your homunculus for a given amount of time.
Blocks Physical attacks and Magical attacks by 5% per level. Lasts 5 minutes regardless of skill level.
Summon Norns: Max lvl 10
Summon the Norns, the 3 goddesses of fate, to deal Neutral AoE damage to a 5x5 area.
Lvl 1: 50%
Lvl 2: 100%
Lvl 3: 150%
Lvl 4: 200%
Lvl 5: 250%
Lvl 6: 300%
Lvl 7: 350%
Lvl 8: 400%
Lvl 9: 450%

Would work with ice pick, +atk cards, axe mastery, and Summon Tyr's buff.

Call it Divine Rejection, and I think it might be a winner, there, Commad.
Before I go off on a tangent, I wanted to suggest something, on the odd chance that no one else was considering it - most of the classes had/have at least two potential 'paths' for skill development, and in the cases of where ideas overlap (big props, Maximo, for example) I find myself wondering if, in naming a concept, at least
including the 'expected' paths and options that come into play? For example, in the
case of the brawlers, I see the options as being predominantly either high-speed DPS, or improved AoE, with the ability to somewhat opt for a hybrid of the two.
Am I making sense?

I think to do that, we'd have to know exactly how this 3rd class is going to work. What we know is that when you turn 3rd class, you retain 99/50(or 70) and your base is able to go up to 150 (I think). Some things come up like 1)Will we be able go past the 99 base stat cap? 2)How much will the cap be increased by? (everyone should know the data to execute the higher stats is there) 3)How many more jobs will there be? 4)How many new skills will they incorporate?
It's a good idea, and for our purposes at this point anything we say won't really matter anyways, so lets go nuts. It'll be hard to keep things balanced too.

A modification to the Templar concept - improves on defensive abilities and gives the option of becoming a Defensive Buffing Juggernaut or finally gives the spear skills that the crusader class direly lacked.
Templar
Shield Mastery - Passive
Increases Defense at same value as Sword Mastery increases damage. Additionally, increases damage done by Smite and Shield Boomerang, and allows card defense bonuses to contribute to attack power.
Shielded Spirit - Active
Mastered at 5 Requires Shield Mastery 5
Boosts recipient's defense by shield+mastery bonus, and bestows protections granted by cards in the shield. Affected users count against Sacrifice Limits, and shares the same Duration and Number limits, but without limit to range. Fails automatically against targets without a shield item (buckler, guard, ninja guard, etc) equipped unless used at level 5.
Back Strapping - Passive
Mastered at 1, requires Level 10 Shield Mastery
Allows equipping of shield to user's back, giving half of the defensive bonus, but full card benefit. Reduces attack speed by 25, but allows usage of Shield Reflect, Auto-Guard, and Defending Aura in conjunction with Polearms. Occupies the equivalent ammo/cart slot on the character.
Temple Guard - Active and Passive
Requires Spear Mastery 5, Back Strapping; Mastered at 5
Passively increases spear damage by 8 per level; when used actively increases defense by a fraction of the weapon's attack power based on skill level (5% per level, max 25% of atk as added defense).
Sacrament of Steel - Active
Requires Resistant Souls 5 - Mastered at 5
Skill requires two other class members capable of having the Divine Protection skill (any Acolyte-based or Crusader-based class, and Super Novices) - when cast, bestows the defense of the Templar on the recipient, and subject them to the same restrictions of the Templar, including possibly reduced attack speed and movement. This skill stacks with B.S. Sacrementi. If used with a Priest/High Priest and Acolyte or two Acolytes, inflicts Signum Crusis upon Undead and Demon in proximity. If used with two Priests/High Priests, inflicts holy damage akin to B.S. Sacrementi. If used with Priest and Super Novice, provides a one-time heal to all on-screen, even if the Crusader lacks Heal skill. If performed with two Super Novices, very low chance to coax Super Novice Angel to bestow the Novice Level Up blessings on all in proximity for 2 minutes - Super Novices receive a 5 minute version. If used with two Crusaders/Paladins, increases Vit by 10 for each. 400 SP/usage, durations as per Sacrifice.
Crusis Exitiabilis - Active
Requires Holy Cross 10, Grand Cross 5, Mastered at 5
Usable after either Holy Cross or Grand Cross, stabs at the vital organs of the enemy to ensure death. If used after Holy Cross, consumes 250 SP and inflicts Bleeding on the enemy - if the target is demon or undead, the target is also silenced. If used after Grand Cross, consumes all SP, and additional 25% of the remaining amount of HP required to slay the target, from the user; if the target is Undead or Demon type, the Templar receives an automatic Blessing 10. If one is equipped with the Longinus Spear, the HP requirement is negated.

All valid and agreed-upon; I just find I like making hypothetical branches within a class so they aren't so 'one trick pony'.
For another example, the abovementioned Tamer class, I could see going the route of being a viable beast-slayer alternative to hunters, for one set of their skills, or being a different approach on the Homunculus angle for their other skill path.

3rd class Bard: Composer
http://i10.tinypic.com/7y807ev.jpg
(I did NOT make this sprite. I found it somewhere on the internet years ago, and downloaded it cause I thought it looked neat. It's been sitting on my HD for no less than 2 years. I don't remember where it came from.)
No longer satisfied with merely performing the songs of others, the brilliant Composer now creates his own masterpieces to share with the world. Having all the instruments and voices of Rune-Midgard at his disposal only enhances the possibilities set forth by his boundless creativity. With such creativity and so many resources available, the same song is almost never composed twice.

Perform the the song that you have composed. The song will have the effects dictated by the current selected skill level of all the passive song parameters.
This skill will fail if the sum of the chosen levels of song parameters exceeds 20
Like any other Bard song, this one has the same area of effect that lasts for a while after you leave it. It can't stack with other songs but can with dances. The same movement speed penalty is applied, and the Composer cannot use any other skills.
Song of All:
Active
100 SP cast, 1 SP consumed per second while active
Compose and perform a song dedicated to your valiant teammates.
This song can be toggled on/off much like Guard, turning it off does not cost SP.
While this skill is active, the Composer cannot use Frost Joke, or perform any other songs, though other Bards can.
The Composers movement speed is not diminished while using this skill.
If another Composer in the same party tries to use Song of All while one is already in effect, the skill will fail.
While this skill is active, all party members on the screen will recieve buffs based on who exactly is in the party.

Definitely impressive, Rastaban!
If I may, what would be the 'alternate' path/branch of a Maestro's skilltree?
It would seem the default is the enhancement and continuation along the standard premise of what Bards already do.

I like Rastaban's bard skills. 20 does seem a bit high though, maybe only 15? Also, to get around the "Level 0" problem you could just make level 1 do nothing and make it 6 levels?

Obligatory for whatever 3rd class Dancers get:
Call Me Queen!
Active
Requires 5 Dance Lesson, mastered at 5
Attacks enemy with single whip strike and haughty laughter - lowers targetted enemy's defense by 8% per level, and causes nearby enemies to flee by 10% chance per level.

I had some ideas in the past about 3rd job bard/dancer where they could duet with other classes to provide a link similar to marionette control where they bestow a powerful buff specific to that class. i.e., the Assassin Cross is deeply moved by a wild battle dance being performed with a 3rd job dancer, or a chemist is inspired by some mozart music being played by a 3rd job bard.

Consume - Homunculus Skills
Attack that does 200% atk damage against enemy - if used as a finishing attack, gives Homunculus back 10% of damage as health, and gives 1 'charge'.
Integrate
Allows Homunculus to fully ingest the charge stored, and for 15 minutes have access to the active skills of the consumed monster.

- Able to use magic wands and spears.

>_> We think alike in that respect. I thought the EXACT same thing when I saw the Archbishop description. Although my take on it was give Monks more supportive skills...y'know, make them a bit more party friendly...but not so much as to have them be able to replace a Priest/High Priest/Archbishop as the support class.
Actually, all the Third Jobs (Well, what they've given us so far) seem to be heading down a new route. Like Archbishops are getting offensive and Rune Knights are getting magic...of sorts.

just throwing this out there since i cant draw at all, but has anyone ever thought of the a Storyteller for the 3rd bard class and Philosopher for the 3rd sage class?
oh, I haven't. I actually thought it was a snes game? How strange. s:
I also thought that originally dragoons were men who rode horses at the 18th century, not actually dragon riders... oh well. New things to learn. <3
Also, here's crusaders 3rd class Tex (my sader hubby) used as a model. ;
"Suicider"
http://www.onis.afterinthedark.com/shared_files/forums/Ro/suicider_onis1.jpg
His skills are more leaning to suicidal type. He will die if a priest dies in a party. His hp will go down to 30%, if there's no priestess in a party. He will also die if his sp goes down to 0%.
Though death penalty fee is only 0.1% for this class. :]
And any acolate class that parties with a suicider gets 20% more exp and there's a small chance for small ribbons to drop.

i initially had the idea of this being the expansion of a rogue. more focused on bow but the more i thought about it, this class seems more of an expansion of a hunter. focused on trapping using different arrows.
example skills:
steel pins
consumes 5 steel arrows and a trap
targeted skill similar to scholar's fiber lock.
quivering earth
consumes 5 stone arrows and a freezing arrow
targeted skill that casts level 1 quagmire on the target

My idea for the 3rd Sage class is a Dragon Rider/Tamer like everyone else. My idea involves both Caster Sages and hindsight builds so that there could be two different types of Dragon Riders/Tamers.
There would be two different Skills that once you get level 1 of one skill the other skill is taken off of the Skill list so you can not get both. One would be Dragon Ride which would allow you to ride a dragon. The second is Dragon Tame, which would allow you to tame one of the smaller dragons to act as a companion in Battle. Larger Dragons(Acidus and Ferus)would offer stronger attack power and skills while the smaller Dragons would just add a little extra attack power to your character, like a weakened homunculus.
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k33/googoo784/dragom-rider.jpg
Caster Sages(Int/Dex)would tame the larger Dragons(Acidus and Feris)and would ride on top of them. The Dragon's attack/skills would be controlled within an AI like Homunculus but you would control their movement. While the dragon is attacking you would be able to sit back and cast magic. The dragons would be caught and random stats would be applied to them. They would level like Homunculus but their level would start off at half your level(so you are 99 and catch one it is lvl 49, etc). There would also be some support skills that would only work on the riding dragons to boost their stats and use combined skills(like being able to use Dragon Breath and firebolt 10 at the same time)to really deal some heavy damage.
There would also be a few Dragons added to the game that you could ride on to offer mroe of a variety or this class. Each dragon would be different in Attack Power, Skills, elemental weakness etc. They would also give the rider different bonuses that would effect their HP/SP Modifier, walking speed, def/mde, cast time and matk.
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k33/googoo784/dragon-tamer.jpg
The second build would be more of a battle type that concentrates on Hindsight. They would use hindsight but instead of books Battle Rods/Staffs would be implemented. The Staffs would have 0 atk and reduce your str to 0. Instead of relying on Physical strength your attacks would rely on Magic ones and rely on Endows. there would be a skill that when you Endow yourself(it would only work when you self endow, not if you endow via other sage or scrolls)your attacks would actually be bolt attacks at level 1. This means when you endow Tsunami and go melee something each melee hit would do damage equal to Cold Bolt lvl 1, etc etc. That couple with Hindsight would make a pretty strong character. On top of that they can capture the smaller dragons(Petites, Novus)and they would act as a Homunculus-like creature for the Dragon Rider/Tamer.

Balance
Active and Passive Skill
Requires 5 in Spiritual Cadence
Mastered at 10
Increases amount of SP recovered, and does not require user to be sitting; however, amount of SP gained will only be the amount added by Balance. When used actively, increases chance of user absorbing SP cost of spells used against them, returning a percentage of the damage to the caster. Chance is at 8% per level.
Harmony
Active and Passive skill
Requires Balance 5
Mastered at 10
Increases amount of HP recovered, and does not require user to be sitting; however, amount of HP gained will only be the amount added by Balance. When used actively, increases chance of user reflecting status ailments back on their casters. Chance is at 7% per level.
Bend with the Wind
Active and Passive skill
Requires Harmony 5
Mastered at 5
Increases flee by 8%/level. When activated manually, has a 10% chance/level to auto-counter for 150%/level damage. Chance increases by 5%/level and gains an additional 5% damage if user is unarmed.
