1. Does cart boost stack with agi up? I can't tell a difference in walk speed...
2. HSCR is not affected by dubious salesman ship right?
3. How does weapon upgrade work? are the rates higher than taking it to an npc?

1. No, and sadly just Cart Boosting is a little slower than AGI walking speed. Not by much, though

2. Nope. :<

3. Rates are higher than Hollegrehen, but it is also effected by your job level - I'm not sure how much, but IMHO it's best to leave Weapon Upgrade as your last 10 Job Levels if you're going to get it.

From what I hear its past job50 is when it becomes better than normal NPC upgrading and of course you the upgrade fee is waived (esp nice on lvl 4 weaps).

Also, if you are upgrading stuff before job50 (I believe), then there is a chance to fail before the safe levels.

IE: Upgrading a mace at job level 49, there is a chance for it to fail before +7, whereas hollgrem will get it to +7 without any problems.

Where you get that info?That's absolutely not true...unless if you were talking about Free Server settings.

I always wondered with the implementation of enriched ori, since people say its supposed to be 10% better than NPC, how that actually compares to a Job 70 mastersmith upgrading.

its .5% better chance per job lvl past 50, so 10% at job 70

The wiki (http://irowiki.org/wiki/Upgrade_Weapon) states 1% per level past 60. Which is correct?



Success rates based on your JOB LEVEL ONLY. Use of this skill with a job level above Job Level 60 gives the player an increased chance of upgrade success; up to a maximum added chance of 10% at Job Level 70 over the rate of upgrading weapons at an NPC. Player must use this skill to upgrade with to gain the increased chance.

It's after job 50. Job 60 will yield a 5% increase and job 70 will give a 10% increase, but was never sure if it was incremental in the levels between those.

Out of what? Weapon Perfection and Maximize Power? You use those how often?

Not like Power Maximize and Weapon Perfection are that ground breaking

PM is good for MVPing, but you really only need level 1, and it's not necessary. WP is good for axes on small monsters or daggers on large monsters, but even then the difference in damage isn't that much, especially when spamming HSCR.

The only times I found weapon perfection useful was when I was buff slaving other classes with my blacksmith

WP for 2 Shotting Ice Titans with 140 STR Cart Ram?

Edit: NVM, If you have a Porcellio Water Armor and 140 STR, 2 shotting them isn't hard at all.

I don't have a whitesmith yet, so I don't actually know this for a fact, just relaying something a guildmate mentioned.

I did that before I transed my bs. Not only was I able to make my knives, but they became limited edition collector's items after I rebirthed.
