Homunculus choices...help! D:

Seems like the majority of alchemists have a vani. I've seen them in action, and they're pretty sweet, but what about the others? I'm currently leveling a merchant, soon to be alchemist, and I'm wondering which one would best suit me. The way I'm planning my build, I'll be ending up with the following stats unbuffed:

Str: 100
Agi: 30ish
Vit: 90
Int: 20ish
Dex: 60
Luk: 9

What type of homunculus would best suit a str/vit build like this? I was thinking lif for the heals, but I really don't know anything about the different types, other than the basics. I really like the way the sheep one looks,(the name escapes me at the moment) and if I remember correctly they're the tank type, which would go well with me being a tank type, I suppose. At the very least it's tempting to just be original and not get a vani, even if I'm slightly gimped. Any guidance would be great. Thanks in advance. :]

Vani's are Casters.

Amistr (The Goat): Tank

Filir: Striker

Lif: Healer

Personally, I like Lifs. But be warned they're not exactly the easiest to level. And they're expensive. But if you can max out your loyalty after it evolves, you'll have possibly the strongest of the homunculi out there.

Again, just personal Preference...not that I'm an expert on the matter

lifs are not healers .. they are mainly used as a speed increase tool instead. i personally recommend lifs if you plan to mob alot cos urgent escape helps in maneuvering. i know a few vit chemsits whom usees sheeps, but they mainly kill 1 by 1.

or at least smaller sized mobs compared to lif users.

I wouldn't say a Lif is just about the speed increase either, get a lif to loyal twice and suddenly she hits really hard on a normal basis, combine that with "dancing" and her damage output is really good!

For non AFK leveling with your lif on certian maps I'd say she's one of the strongest for PVM.

(Since she's Demi Human she's rather useless for woe/pvp).

my Lif heals for almost 1k, which i think is pretty freakin helpful, with the dancing script, and MC, at level 69 it does 910 damage to tams. she's like a lumberjack.

and the Amistr is worthless, the only reason it would be able to tank anything is because it has a crap ton of HP, mine has almost 12k at level 98.
