Ep 19 released this morning. It went differently than I was expecting tbh. And that last shit, wow. Things are gonna get crazy in the second series(Since that stuff won't be used in the last 6 or so eps of the first season).

This series has grown on to me and is becoming one of the, if not, the best AU Gundam series of all time. Possibly up there with Turn A Gundam.

At first, I was kind of skeptical to see if it was worth to keep the Gundam franchise after the complete disaster known as Gundam Seed Destiny and that Tomino is sick and tired of his name being tied to Gundam still. So far, I think this series has made up for that.

The last scene just kinda leaves you wondering wtf is gonna happen. Lots of shit getting blown up later on.

And the trial thing. I think it was that one guy who stopped it. With that green haired kid who is obviously plotting something himself. He strikes me as the guy who wants to keep the wars going, even though he's on that side.

More than likely the last Antarctica scene = mass nuclear warhead collection funded by the UN. It's possible that the grand plan is complete chaos and then everyone will be forced under one flag, one Iron Curtain, after the fallout. Just needs a Stalin-esque figurehead of the UN to make it official.

They looked like solar generators to me.

But they could be nukes. That'd be more likely, since the solar generators are said to take a really long time just to make one. 100 years and the main group only made 4, while the Thrones made 3.

Confirmed. 30 solar generators / GN-drives. 10 per nation -> formed an alliance. Looks like the series will end early as the ending credits reveal or foreshadow.

As far as I know there are still plans to take it into the second season. I haven't seen anything that says otherwise yet.

And honestly I think the suits that the new alliance has will be a notch lower than the Gundams. So even if they have them, a lot of them are gonna get destroyed at a decent rate I think.

The G.N. drives were probably made at the same time as the other solar generators used by the gundams and concealed to be later given to the three nations as a part of Veda's master plan to unite the nations in a global effort against celestial being. Im really stoked for when the entire story plot is revealed and we dont have to keep wondering if VEDA fucked up or if its owning everyone with its super computer predictions.

Has anyone else noticed how much they're setting Saji up to be the inevitable 5th Gundam Meister of the team (it would fit the Gundam Wing parallels everybody seems to be noticing)? I could be wrong, but why would they strike him with epic tragedy/make him Setsuna's neighboor if not to have him eventually be a pilot? Either him or the guy with the same Veda eyes as Tieria.

I think we all win with where Gundam 00 seems to be going though. :o

So far I have seen nothing that says they decided to scrap the second season. I honestly do not think they will kill Lockon if there is a second season coming.

Maybe. But he gives off the idea that he really hates Gundam. And he doesn't actually know that it was that mercenary that killed his sister, so he's gonna think that her death was related to Celestial Being since she was investigating it. Chances of him joining Celestial Being, slim. If someone explains that it was the thrones who did it blew up his GF and they're different it might work. But in terms of bad-assness he doesn't compare to Lockon.

well tbh im not really into the whole idea of him being part of the Meisters anyway... he'll prolly have SOMETHING to do with the whole story but i doubt he'll be a pilot. And he doesnt even seem that evil either so im quite curious where they're going with these side characters

Yea if he wasn't gonna play some kind of part later on they wouldn't focus on him every now and then. But I think he's too much of a pussy to be a Meister. Setsuna is enough of a angsty teenager, we don't need another.

HOWEVER. I still stand firm in my belief that Lockon will not die. He won't pilot for a while, but he won't die. He'll prolly do the whole disappear for a while to recover and then show up later on in some new brand new more badass Gundam(second season). But that still depends if they run the second reason or not. But like I said earlier I haven't found anything saying otherwise, so I'm gonna assume it's still a go.

Hmm good ep. Now I'm sure there's gonna still be a second season. And I was right about Lockon's gundam. They said they have to take it somewhere to get it fixed, so I bet they'll completely overhaul the entire thing.

So what do you guys think? Nena dies in the last few eps of the first season, or she ends up joining the original Meisters and helps them out.

And I knew that those mass produced solar furnaces wouldn't be able to keep up with the real gundams. Now the thing to ask is if whether it's just Exia who can enter the new mode or if all 4 of the originals can.

Also I'm curious if the connection to Veda has been restored now that the green haired kid and that traitor guy messed shit up.

Just watched ep 25. Final ep of first season. Good ep. As usual hold off on discussing for a day or two to not spoil it for the people who haven't gotten it yet.

After watching it though I'm kinda annoyed that I have to wait 6 months for the second season though.

The first season was fantastic as a whole though. It had what made SEED and Destiny good (updated animation, but kinda rehashed classic Gundam storylines), but still kept you guessing about what was going to happen next.

Who else got shivers when you see Graham Aker at the end, finally embracing the full Char'ness of his character that we all knew he would be. Golden.

Louise is with Celestial Being now. Earth is united as in the original Aeolia plan. There's a Gundam 0 and a Gundam 00, and it looks like mr. GN Flag hardcore has the mask (there's always a masked guy in Gundam series) And Setsuna's teacher is still alive. What was the light though in space towards the end, third Gundam, maybe 01?

We've yet to see the original RX-79 looking Gundam w/ the Wings that appeared before Setsuna in his first episode flashback. Maybe that light was someone related to Aeolia coming back from Jupiter? Because they have yet to reveal how he made the Solar Furnaces and how they harness energy from Jupiter.

And, and about blondie... I just rewatched the last episode for the clip of her with "Tieria".. I don't think it's actually him. If you'll recall in the first ep of season 2 you see that guy with Tieria's hair color and glasses, with a different hairstyle, with that green haired kid who screwed over the final boss of the first season.

Tieria isn't actually human anyway, so maybe there's been a copy made or a mole, for that matter, within that green haired kids' bishounen cult.

the names kinda went down the shitter with SEED.

honestly it's because every gundam up to Wing (and even then it was more European vs. colonists kind of thing) didn't deal with portraying foreigners too much. Everything was Feddie or Zeon or close parallels that didn't dwell on nationality and had names more Japanese/Spacelike than anything; hence why Ghramm Akers -> Mr. Bushido (and matching flaming Japo mobile suit) sounds and is kinda retarded.

Otherwise, decent episode, except that mobile armors still get wtf pwned by any Gundam/MS and it makes my UC tuned brain really hurt.

I'd also like Lockon to come back in some way; his character really got interesting in the last 5-6 episodes and his brother is that asshole spy type that'll probably sacrifice himself like Lockon did at the end, but up to that point I'll hate him.

Old Gundam rule is at one point one of them will either a)kill the other and die in the killers arms while he/she is crying, then throw him/her into a lake or go berserk or b) Will find out they are enemies and both go berserk on eachother. One will die and come back as a tripy spirit letting the killer know they are forgiven and the killer will become a pacifist.

It makes me angry that the battle was cut short. I love the storyline but I am itching for a really good 1 on 1 battle between Gundam 00 and Bushido(lolnamelol). That or I want to learn somethign about Ribbons and his hive mind androids/clones/whatever they are.
