Mental Sensing

I'm sure this was covered on the old RI forums and wiki, but since it's not there now, I was wondering if someone could answer some questions about how MS works.

First, who needs to be in the MS area for it to work? The killer, the monsters, or both?

Second, does MS affect everyone who walks in, partied/guilded or not?

P.S. On a random note, is Melody Strike based on ASPD at all?

Anyone's monster in it has extra exp.

Yeah, any monster killed inside of the Mental Sensing area will give boosted exp.

Melody Strike's delay is aspd based.

Heres another quick question about mental sensing which I have asked a few minstrels and have all given me different answers. If a bard has lvl 5 mental sensing and a dancer has lvl 1 mental sensing which one takes effect? The casters, the lower level, the higher level, or a percentage in the middle.

I always thought it was the average rounded down. 5 and 1 would be 3, 5 and 2 would be 3, 5 and 3 would be 4.

i havn't ever tested it but unless everyone i ever spoke to about this was wrong and the wiki is wrong it takes the lowest level

It should take the lowest level.

Also, the monster must die on a tile with mental sensing active.
