Once I have that much flee I plan on heading to ID3 too, it looks like so much fun. I was leveling in ID2 for awhile until I got tired of things killing my SL but I killed a few Ice titans...they are really nice exp and surprisingly die REALLY fast, even with only 70+24int and a Sage diary/buffs.

I had a pure pvm sage and it was impossible to find parties. My entire sage-life I got one (high)priest(ess) to party me. [.*.'juLiAna'.*., you will always have a place in my e-heart]

I self-slaved my sage to level 80 and leeched from there to 95 in Galions [considerably less exp than Thors, as you all know... 4.5m/hr with BM vs 10-12+m/hr with BM] -- I would have leveled to 95 in ID3 if anyone would party me and/or sell me heal slaves =) But I'm not the type to solo an int/dex sage in stings when I can self-leech for literally 4x the exp with none of the 'omg I lagged and died >:[' aggravation.

From 95 I did mostly bio3 parties when I could trade bard/dancer/mobber/snatcher for exp and supplemented that with self-leeching in Thors and purchased leeches while I was doing homework =] I may not have worked in the 'conventional' way, but I still worked for my 99, as do many of the people who 99 in Thors.

With only a Buff and Link slave I pull in four mil an hour with 120int/178aspd on my Sage without BM/Exp event. Right now I am getting 6/6.5 depending on what time I get online.

I am not, I am on Loki and I usually play in the day time so there is usually one other party and another sin leveling int here. With 178 aspd Titans drop extremely fast.

edit: next time I do a leveling session I will take screen shots on the exp I gain in an hour.

By the way, just so I contribute to the battlesage hype: anyone considering making one should max AGI first and INT only after. I've tried ID3 for fun at various levels. 89 AGI and 99 INT didn't really cut it at lvl94, would had have it rather the other way around for the bolts to proc more often.

imo, int > agi worked out better. Once you get around 130 int you can pretty frequently 4 shot titans. more aspd is always nice but waiting for that 5th or 6th bolt wastes a lot of time.

Yeah, if you put it right on that cel the little Crystal thing will block Ice Titan and Snowier from seeing them(unless they are on the little bridge). Gazeti will see them if they are close enough though. Still, those four bridges are the safest places to put buff slaves. I can leave mine out long enough to regen their SP then log them out(I use a laptop though so it might be harder with duel client, I dunno).

I was more looking at other's SS on here and remembering how much I used to enjoy playing scholar way back when I still played it often. Basically just showing that I play both an Int and a Vit scholar I guess... or rather if I felt like it I would.

Congrats on 99. I think I might go the Int/Dex/Vit Double Bolt route instead of making a Hindsight Scholar so I can also be useful in WOE myself. Are you satisfied with your Int?

My Hindsight sage started out as "mess around" character. I didn't think I was going to love it quite as much as I did. There was never any doubt I'd go Hindsight as Scholar, but I never quite expected to level her so fast.

Also, having all the skills needed to level her by about job 35 was brilliant. I lav her. :]

Lyly do you WOE on it at all? I'm still debating on whether or not to make a double bolt or a hindsight scholar if I ever get the time to level my sage again.

I have done a couple times, though only really as an sp slave for the guildies. Saying that though, if I wanted to, there's alot of dex to be had from gear alone. It would never be good as a vit/dex FS scholar, but I always have the option!

Hah yeah, it is so much fun. I went through a phase of thinking "GOD, What have I done!?" back when my flee was still emo, but I wouldn't change her for the world now. ^^ By far, the most fun class!

Making a hindsight scholar with slave SL spouse. As sage it is probably the only character where i really love playing it in pvm! I've got the skill build down for pvm but in the end i think all that will be left is woe since i don't pvp and doubt there is much i can mvp.

I have access to a caster and FS scholar already so this is just for giggles if i use it in woe and for short excursions of killing before i have to rebuff. Likely to have ARush in woe but i didn't put it into the calc.

Any tips would be appreciated as i've not seen any guides for these and don't know any other battle scholars.

The weapon i was just playing around with to see how much hit i can get with no dex and still be able to hit ppl to stop them running away to some extent.

Get rid of Firewall. honestly I would get it as a mage and once you can level in ID3 get a neuralizer and just get rid of it. I only have a Sage but after I finished leveling in TI I never used it again.

As far as your build goes, personally I would drop vit some and get a bit dex and less agi but thats just my opinion. I would also go for two Cecil cards and not worry about hitting people with your Sage diary, with your bolts going off at 180aspd and them being double bolts they will be locked in palce. If you have AAR you should then have like 185 aspd and bolts get pretty amazing with dbl bolt at that aspd.

It's because of your build. You need more int in order to get fast exp in ID3. Once you get 120 int you can easily not use any stat food(I never do)and gain 3.5-4mil exp an hour.

yeah, I know. At this point my agi seems satisfactory enough for me, as long as I don't get mobbed. Now that my vit is enough to get my HP to survive a bowling, I'm just pushing INT. It's currently at 90 (with bonuses). With food and blessing, it becomes 110...

Actually now it's not monsters thats killing me. It's disconnects. They get rid of my link and kaahi and mess up the whole rhythm. :(

Doddler's calc says that I can later at higher levels manage to flee titans 95% of the time, so what kinds of things would I need the heals or pots for? And any other things I can level off of besides siroma for the time being? (72/43 hindsight sage) =x

If you cast Hindsight but don't select a bolt (i.e, just cross the box off), you can't cast anything else until you relog or map change.

Err, getting a video would be kind of hard since I only have fraps which runs in full screen.

Anyway, you just tank snipers at a distance with a priest (one high priest can probably theoretically hold up to 25-30 snipers at a time with mist/pneuma if it comes down to it...) and bolt at leisure after making sure everything you want tele'd is gone. For single snipers if you're on the same vertical or horizontal line you can tank it far enough away for it to not use skills and still be able to Lex A it.

Sometimes you're stuck bolting an ass'ed sniper for really bad damage, but there isn't much you can do about that.

I just tank and Lex Divina sinx's with my HP (usually keep on holy robe and switch between hell/heavy, didn't even bother bringing a cranial half the time), then lex bolt them or SC lex bolt them (does 30-40k).

I don't think a hindsight scholar would be able to level this way (unless you mean manually casting) because the snipers/sinx's would change targets.

I think a strings slave could have easily upped my xp rate anywhere from 50-100% since the most time is spent bolting stuff.

My support partner work much better (he got 99 dex 90 vit 45 str). he might not be able to kill but is much worthy used.
