Hi
My Paladin has autoguard 7 and reflectshield 7 and I got 3 skillpoints free left.
As I keep changing my Mind which one I want maxed, Id like to have a few opinions what other people would choose in my case, autoguard 10 or reflect 10.
4% more guard and 0,1sec less delay OR 9% more dmg reflect :hmm:
Id say both dont make a hudge difference but still...

I'd go for Guard if you like to WoE on your Paladin. While the higher the shield reflect, the better the chance to kill EDP SBers and GFisters on you, guard could completely block the skill. Also, if you're a sac pally, you would probably prefer a higher chance of Guarding over taking someone else's GFist damage.

Being the one to EDP, I don't really care about the reflect I care that the paladin goes splat in one 2x atk edp sb. So I vote guard
4% more guard is sexy. It helps your friends too and gives you 0.1 delay!

Guard 10 is a must have. Reflect is nice, but not that important.

Guard is a really really nice skill. Its probably one of the best defensive skills in the game, i love sacing people and guarding hits from monsters through sac. Get the highest level guard you can.

Personally I'd never get pass guard 8. The %s drop every few levels, all the way down to 1% per level, so its goes from 28% to 29% from 8 to 9, then 29% to 30% from 9 to 10. I don't think its worth worth it for a class that has plenty of other skills to have points put in. Plus, the difference in 26% (level 7) and 30% (level 10) isn't that big, especially compared to 9% higher damage reflected. So I say reflect 10 but thats just my preference, everyone has their own. If I ever get my pally higher leveled, thats what i'm doing but thats not until job 63 u.u

There's not a big difference in chance but the difference in .3 and .1 seconds delay is pretty huge. I'm sure anyone who uses guard + sac can attest to the fact that the .3 second delay is more than enough to break sac and get your wiz killed.

What delay? I honestly have no idea what you are talking about

The delay after you do a guard.

After defending a hit with Guard, your character will have that Kyrie-like shield effect and stop moving and attacking for a split second. It's really really annoying, especially when you're trying to punch through a mob.

The worst part about it is if you have someone sac'd and they trigger the guard, you have the movement delay but they don't. A lot of times by the time you can move again, they are already out of sac range and possibly dead.

I would say Guard over reflect. even if you were to ignore the delay reduction the extra % that go through sac ends up adding up. that and only lvl 10 guard gets the lowest delay reduction. 10 guard is hot, while 10 refelect is just nice. imo anyway
