Hammer Fall's Range

A friend and I were having a discussion about smiths and the topic came up about Hammer Fall's range. Now, neither of us has a smith to test this ourselves so I'm posting here to get a definite answer. The wiki says melee range, which I understood to be 1-2 cells (like a normal attack), but he is telling me that the range is only 1 cell. :o

What he means is the Area 5x5 is a square radius of 5 cells.

I didn't mean the AoE of the skill but how far away from your character you can use hammer fall without your character moving.

Might I also add, you can 'snipe' with Hammerfall :) Got wizards precasting up a hill? you can use Hammerfall on the wall itself, given you can use a skill over that wall, and it will effect the wizards on said wall. I have had many people thank me for doing that.

Ahh good ol' Hammerfall. Gotta love it. I've noticed more and more, that hammerfall is less used by the "New Breed" of Mastersmiths that have been popping up. Very HSCR heavy those little buggers. They seem to be one, two button wonders. Hammerfall still owns. Use it!

I personally love shattering strike + revo + hammerfall. I often see myself spamming 3 hotkeys during woe... 90sp is a lot though for a skill when other skills only take like 10-30

Remember, young grasshoppa, Gravity hates the Blacksmith class. Everything we have uses an outrageous amount of SP and zeny to use.
