I remember watching this episode... The entire series of Japanorama is about showing off the odd parts of Japanese culture. While the odd things might be slightly more prominent in Japan, I guarantee you people in American do some pretty strange things as well. I don't care much for the guy's "lol lookit what everyone does in Japan" approach. If you took away the stigmas spawning from Christian morals, America would be different as well.

Not saying this behavior isn't strange, but looking at it culturally, it's a sort of response to the lowering population and the lack of sex going on in general. If you want to see the normal Japanese reactions to odd behavior, I'd recommend the Hard Gay series (not exactly what it sounds like), or for a more normal approach to Japanese culture, Peter Payne's newsletters at J-list give a lot of interesting differences and similarities between America and Japan (he's a guy from San Diego living and working in Japan).

Good luck there. Just let the weeaboos do as they please. Most of them never end up in Japan anyway. As long as they stay in other countries with their messed up image it's fine. When they all start flocking to Japan in mass then one should worry.
