I randomly get dced from RO due to time gaps. This has never happened until recently and I have no reason why. Besides obvious reasons (cogent servers suck dick), why might this be happening and how can I alleviate the situation? Thanks.

Where do you live? What sort of connection are you on? Are you behind a router? Run your tracert and post the results. Does it happen random times of the day or consistently? Is Kazaa and BitTorrent closed?

I live at a dorm at my college in Ithaca, NY. I believe I'm on a 100 Mbit connection and it happens at random times of the day, and the time in between the disconnects vary as well. Given that my college campus limits the amount of downloads/uploads I have to 5 GB/month, I rarely use Bittorrent and never use Kazaa. If I do use bittorrent, I close it as soon as the file finishes downloading (I'm a terrible leecher :(). I'll post a tracert in a bit.

I've been having the same problems too, ever since they "Updated/Upgraded their servers". Probably just that Gravity itself is having problems on their end causing the Time Gap. Then again, when I am on campus I can't even play iRO because my connection to it is so horrible I usually DC before I can even move. WoW on the other hand has a ping of under 100 ms :)
Once you post that tracert we can definately understand a bit more, possibly.
I must also mention it doesn't happen that often to me while at home, so you never know, could just be a spike in usage and my ISP sucks anyways.

I am getting random time gaps on my dual core system. I won't be lagging at all and bam time gap out of no where. It doesn't happen on my other pcs, so it's definitely not my connection.
