According to the description (http://irowiki.org/wiki/Marionette_Control), it gives half the caster's base stats to the target but will not exceed 99 of the target's stats. Question is, will MC consider the target's bonus stats when it adds up?

e.g. Target's DEX is 50 + 14 = 64

Will MC only add 35 DEX points (assuming the caster has enough points on DEX) to make it 99 or will it only consider the base stat of 50 and adds up 49 points to make it 99?

I am planning to make a brewer chemist with balanced INT and DEX (since minstrels/gypsies have high amount of these) and maxed LUK.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it takes into consideration bonus stats; Hence people using Quag -> MC to improve potting rates [for now!].

+14 dex... I'm assuming biochemist?
Pretty much you'd go 36 + 14dex (50). And get 49 from MC. (Unless you planned dex to 50 after quagmire)

Also remember buffs/gears which raise stats should be put on AFTER Marionette is activated.
If you are buffed/geared before, MC will only raise the stat to 99 total.
If you are buffed/geared after, MC will raise it to 99 total, then you get benefits from buffs/gear.

That was quite a fast reply. Much thanks, Realus!

(I was quite surprised you knew right away that it was a Biochem... or was it general knowledge? :( anyway, big big thanks again!)

Just that Alch has +9dex job bonus, and Bio has +14dex.

Np though, have fun on your potter-bio.
