Sniper + Cooking?

As the topic's name says: I am wondering about if Sniper can make profit by cooking...

I got a 9x Sniper with high dex and luk...got a Minstrel for MC and could get about 230dex and 40luk without gospel...

But does it make profit?

Or does it just suckz...

well im a sniper and i cook spaghetti with meatsauce or meatballs, deerstew, omellete, some ramen, and i bake too like brownies and cookies so im gonna say it does make a profit, i get full after i eat some

The only foods that are currently worth making are Lutie Pancakes (30-40k ea) and Red Mushroom Wine (70-100k ea). Though they do sell, even at these prices, alot of people pays for the gBay foods instead.

Oh and for the record, your cost price on pancakes should be something like 10k ea and about 25-30k on the wine. So yes the profit is healthy, but they only sell in small ammounts. I tried selling them very cheap (20k / 40k) but even then it didnt sell that much faster to make up for the lower profit.

To answer your question: Yes, it does make a profit. Just dont expect the foods to be your main source of income. If you're usually vending when afk anyways, there's no harm in having a few of each food in your shop.

so seriously, even with MC< i don't get how u r getting 230 dex unless u using dex food...

assuming u r job 60, u would start off with 99+23 dex with just job bonus and owl's eye.

quag + mc = +39 dex (assuming it's 50% dex reduction, not 50 straight dex.. thought it was a straight 50 dex though personally)

even assumign quad dex knife, i barely see it going over 200. So how do get 230?


P.S. int foods don't sell that often because they aren't common enough. I personaly was hunting for +6 but gave up when the cost was just too high them and i'm too damn lazy to make them myself.

Not true: a monster's level 5 quag always removes half your dex; also, the amount of dex lost remains constant even if you subsequently lose +dex buffs/gear, as long as the quag is in effect.

Example: 99 + 10 + 14 + 8 (nimble gloves x 2) + 15 (ic) = 146
-- quag: 146 - [73] = 73
-- quag conveniently disables ic for you: 73 - 15 = 58
-- unequip nimble gloves: 58 - 8 = 50
-- mc: 50 + 49 = 99
-- end quag: 99 + [73] = 172
-- add the stuff you had before: 172 + 8 + 15 = 195

The amount of pre-quag +dex gear/buffs required to lower your dex to 50 is [gearless/unbuffed dex] - 100. That's easily obtainable by just about anyone.
