hi ,

the above happen and my virus protection ( avg) has quarantined the fine. as a result i can play ro, i press start on the patcher but it closes the game.

besides the obvoius fact that maybe i need to change my antivirus software or modify the settings to allow that file. is there any thing else i can do ? the virus scanner says ragexe is a backdoor trojan.

also tried reinstalling the client and teh result is the same.

any solutions also anyone else get this problem?

Update your virus definition file.

There's a post in the general section about it.

Like Bato said update your definition files. Gravity makes a lot of changes to their exe files to attempt to thwart people who modify them, but they really just make it worse on themselves.

Currently there is a known issue that began a few hours ago with AVG, Panda, and McAfee flagging Ragnarok.exe as a backdoor trojan.

These are false positive reports, and we have contacted AVG, Panda, and McAfee regarding this to stop this false report.

There is not a Virus/worm/trojan/malware installed with Ragnarok online.

Temporary solutions to this may be to disable AV solutions, or possibly adding in an exception for the Ragnarok Online folder. Those solutions are not highly recommended due to the potential vulnerability that this could leave in your system.

We have contacted all the AV companies to find out what the issue is. Norton does not find a virus in the ragexe, and we are contacting them as well. This seems to be a bad virus definition set that some companies may have put out.

Seems to be getting fixed slowly though.
