Pokémon: The Origin is based on the video games, which actually has plots. The current anime diverted so much from the video games in terms of, well, EVERYTHING.

Loved how they animated the fight scene of the intro to the Red and Blue versions.

Seemed a little fast pace, but I like it so far

So far so good. I remember Charmander being my first starter and beating Brock with it. Totally hit me in the nostalgias after watching the two episodes.

Spoiler: show
Marowak story, SO MANY FEELS. :(

Although I adore the Pokémon SPECIAL version of Red, this Origin version is starting to grow on me. Green's characterizing is not too bad, I guess.

Tis a shame it's only 4 episodes long. I wish everything was stretched out to a full season instead.

Only important thing I got from this anime is that Red is arguably 1,000,000 times a better trainer than Ash will ever be! Oh and Red's last battle was more epic than any battle Ash has ever had or ever will have.

Ash is basically Red dumbed down for toddlers.

I enjoyed the Pokemon manga Red more than the one in this anime. Still good regardless, can't ever truly dislike most things pokemon-related.

wish they made more than 4 episodes. Kinda lame how they're rushing through the whole thing.

^  Sure it's a lot better but, you know you can never hate at least the old episodes of Pokemon though.
