The action is badass, though the main character is super flimsy.

Interesting take on the post-apocalyptic genre. They did a good job bringing across a real atmosphere of terror in this one.

Anime starts off great, but it's becoming painstakingly slow. Especially the latest episode.

They tried to make it really hard to be dramatic but it ends up being just corny drama.

I recommend reading the Manga though. The fillers are a lot more bearable.

The atmosphere is quite interesting in this manga/anime, but it starts to look like the series Lost, mysteries over mysteries and not even a single answer (chapters 48 and 49 gave me anger)

Chapter by chapter, they keep on adding more mystery and unanswered questions, and that really bothers me. And since it's a monthly release, things just get worse...

Spoiler: show
Ape titan, anyone? One of the biggest mysteries of the series, and, after an year, no one knows nothing about it, only that it can talk the human language...

What I have noticed is that Hajime Isayama has been spoon feeding us the answers to pretty much all of these unanswered questions you guys are complaining about. I remember when people were trying to figure out the identity of the Colossal, Armor and Female titans on a bunch of different forums. People were guessing all sorts of characters ranging from main to support. But it was right in front of us.

This is pretty much all I'll type about since it's current with the anime. I don't even want to put things in spoilers just in case some of you don't read the manga, but I'll add onto Kogi's spoiler without spoiling anything.

Kogi:
Spoiler: show
The Armor, Colossal and unbelievably ugly female titan know of the Ape titan and consider it an important part of their mission. Reread those chapters where they were sitting in the tree while recovering. We'll probably be seeing him really soon. From what I noticed, Isayama tends to do a sort of reverse cascade and eventually answers everything.

So, now that the anime of SnK is over (to avoid fillers: it's too close to the manga): what were your overall impressions? About animation, about the OST, about everything

Animation was great, didn't really care for the OST much though. It was nice seeing this manga come to life after having been following this for the last year and a half or so. They ended it where I sort of hoped they would and even added in exactly what I hoped they would add at the very end after the credits.

My favorite scene is definitely when Eren and Levi's core members were being chased by the "Female Titan."

We're most likely going to be seeing another season of Shingeki no Kyojin.

Oh yeah, thought this was funny.

Sort of a manga spoiler? I don't know. Just thought the Tarzan picture was hilarious.

Ok so I finally managed to get some time to watch this in one sitting and I must say it's pretty amazing. Had to read the manga right away too. Too bad it's only monthly thing. Still I look so much forward to next season once there are enough manga chapters to be animated. Right now there are so many mysteries even in manga that I just can't stop thinking about the whole thing. Like wtf those collosal titans in walls, wtf about whole wall cult and the secret they are protecting even at sake of extinction of humanity, wtf are titans anyway? And wtf is that makes Ymir and the two other titans attack humanity, what they are actually scared of? etc. etc. I suppose I'll have to wait a few years before I get at least some answers to these questtions.

Yay, even more questions ._.
At least we know now why everybody's trying to capture Eren.
I wonder how they're going to explain that :colbert:

So, how about that prequel series? Anyone got any thoughts on that?
