The running commentary during Mako's story was humorous. Varrick's story was a was silly fun. Korra's story was totally meh.

Mako was telling his story to the Wu, so that makes sense. Varrick was telling an exaggerated story to the refuges, and that also makes sense. Korra was telling her story to Asami who already knew all of that. What was the point?

I think that Korra retelling the story to Asami is reinforcing why she took that 3 year alone time. She sees herself being all failure and never really looked at the accomplishments she made. I think having Tenzin there confirms how much she has grown is giving Korra the security that her heart has always been in the right place.

Kuvira is nuts. Just plain nuts. On a side note:
Spoiler: show
how is it a good idea to put the spirit laser cannon on a giant bipedal robot? It doesn't look very stable if you ask me. Or the better question, how could anyone not think of earth bending a ginormous hole underneath it?

Spoiler: show

"will you do the thing for the rest of our lives", so awwwwww. Love it!

I have to admit, Kuvira getting beaten was pretty anti-climactic. She's been kicking everyone's butts all season, but the moment Team Avatar infiltrated her giant robot, you know she already lost.

As for the very ending, did not see that coming. Korra and Asami lived happily ever after ;)
