For now, just create a temporary skill build. You'll want all of the Bolt skills as a Mage, and Fire Wall is helpful too. As a Scholar you'll want to get Double Bolt and Heaven's Drive. Get whatever else you'd like.
Stick with that build until you're a Sorcerer with your first couple job levels. Then reset your skills.
In terms of your Sorcerer skills, it depends on what you want to be able to do. Leveling? MVPing? PvP? WoE?
In terms of stats, you'll want to prioritize them in this order: INT, DEX, VIT
I'd say, by level 100, you'll want your stats to look like this:
Even if you are a support build, you'll need to have high INT to increase your SP pool. Since Renewal, Soul Exhale only provides 50% of your current SP.
By the time you hit 150, you'll want to have 100 total vit (95+5 with the job bonus).
Some people say to get max INT, whereas other people shy away from maxing any stat. INT is beneficial to Sorcs in so many ways, it is very tempting to max it. (from 110 to 120 base)
Your DEX should be high to very high. (from 100 to 120 base)
Distribute your other points as you like, or depending on what purpose you need your Sorc to serve. LUK and AGI are going to give you better status resistance. STR gives you better weight limit, and resistance to Masquerades (because of weight limit) and reduces your enemy's Extreme Vacuum duration.
