Default Vanberk card

Hiho

I saw a video some time ago where a wizard was leveling in cursed abbey with a isila carded headgear.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15qV2AdJDEA
(everytime the "suffragium" appears on top of the wizard this cards special effect is triggered)
Isila card
INT + 2
When performing a magical attack theres a small chance that for 5 seconds you'll gain 50% reduction in cast time and FLEE + 30.

However it seems this card procs the fleebonus and casttimereduction damn often, more like 5~10% than just a "small chance" (small would be more like 1%, like owl duke. however, cursed brooch and muramasa also say there is only a "small" chance to curse, and they do it all the time).

Now i was looking for infos about vanberk card

Vanberk card
STR + 2
When attacking there is a small chance that for 5 seconds you'll gain CRIT + 100.

If it is the same "small" chance as the isila, wouldnt this card be triggered all the time on a fast aspd-char or is the procchance for vanberk lower than isila?
Is there any video or detailedinfo how often Vanberk card procs its bonus?

Taking an educated guess I'd assume that Vanberk is lower- compare how many spells you do in a minute to how many attacks click-and-kill player does. Though hey, I'd love for it to be high, might even look into it if it's high enough to use on a sniper. If it's insanely good crit-gatling might even be viable.

I guess you could argue that spamming a spell like Soul strike is pretty speedy, but it's not really a viable way to level and you'd end up getting worse exp/hr SSing til buff then using normal spells than just using normal spells and getting the occasional boost.

As I understand it, Isilla card activates upon a magical ATTACK, which means each time a spell hits. So each SG you cast would have 10 chances to activate the bonus. Even if this is not true, the +2 INT is still very useful.

Doddler's Future Wiki at one point suggested that the activation was a 5% chance for Vanberk card and the bonus would last for 5s.

Yeah, I would guess Vanberk is lower. Nearly full crits for the next 5 seconds is too insane for it to happen often. I would say the chance is close to other skills triggered on attack, like Fireblends.

Man Isila is a dream for a ninja... imagine using it with blaze shield, if you got monsters walking through it you'll pretty much constantly have the cast delay reduction, then use like first wind or high level first level bolt spells and you'll be kickin ass. I so can't wait for this card... gonna put it in a Ulle's cap or something.

and I don't think you can't activate another crit +100 when in crit +100 mode.

Probably what Dante said. In the video, the Isilla card shows a roughly 5%-10% activation when hitting targets with magic damage (SG on Necro's + Mob basically guarentee its activation). Its clear from the video however that the cards cast time reduction won't activate while it is currently active. My guess is that the 'activation of y status for x seconds' type cards all work this way.

If Vanberk card is 3%-5% chance to activate (My guess would be it would be similar to Isilla), that means on average it would take about 20 hits before you gain the crit bonus. At 175 aspd, it would take 10 seconds on average to activate 5 seconds of crit effect. Since it won't activate while its already on, for this player, they would have the crit bonus for about 1/3 of the time. Even that is misleading, since usually you'll have to be already attacking a monster for 10 seconds to get your 5 second bonus, which may make it less than optimal in specific situations. Of course faster attack speeds will activate the bonus faster. Its a cool card, but more limiting than it sounds.

Ahh. So some of the new effects are treated as "positive status effects" and have the same rules as regular status effects like stun rather than buffs like say autocast assumptio?
