Surely... what's with that smiley badge on a Shadow Chaser? And where's the BADASS HAIR + LOOK COME ON MAN SHADOW CHASERS SHOULD LOOK MORE HARAJUKU THAN THAT!
And the designers made a fatal flaw... where's the place to put his makeup kit?

I was just looking over that picture of Dark Chaser and it occurred to me that those small daggers on his arm are going to be problematic for him to access since they are facing the wrong way. >>

So apart from being a terrible design (IMO), it also has a useless factor.

Not really, I can imagine the Chaser take the daggers on the left hand using the right hand, while the daggers in his right hand is taken out with his left hand.

Except the pointy end of the dagger is sticking out where the handle is most accessable on the arm. With that setup you would have to lift your arm and reach under and twist your wrist awkward... not exactly comfortable.

Looks more like he could hold his arm (palm facing inward/toward himself) and pull them out with ease/slash at the same time.

Design looks like they should have gotten some kind of chain/knife skill...

And yeah, now that I think about it, that does make sense.

Which actually makes another thing - the number of daggers he has are excessive. Considering that on the sprite design, male chasers have scabbards/quivers (depending on whatever suits his purposes) on their backs, four daggers on his arm are a LOT. Especially since he wields one by default. Most practically, since art!chaser is a righty, he should have one dagger on his right wrist only. (Since he has a dagger in his right hand, that means he can grab with his left hand.) Perhaps one on his left arm. Maybe. For emergency situations.

That does not change the fact that he looks more flamboyantly gay than the love child of Bobby Trendy, Cojo, and Johnny Weir. Then again, my own stalker is a gay porn star at this point, so...uh...flamboyantly gay is perfectly in character.

The Shadow Chaser sprite actually has a total of 8 daggers/knives...

4 the same as the artwork (2 on each forearm)
2 on the bicep/near the shoulder (1 on each)
2 in the back, tied to his waist.

Female SC's actually lack all but the 2 per each forearm daggers, and chains etc.

To be perfectly honest, many 2nd classes looked better. Though, I think the artwork for the male Genetics are pretty cool (sprite wise, not so much).

*(as far as artwork goes, its funny to see how the sinXs katars are only now getting released, Stalker's knives came out not too long ago etc. Either they plan ahead, or are lazy)

But those are the small, glued and darkened versions.
In this same page, you have a male shadow chaser that is bigger and clearer than the version with bot male and female.

If you get to a fan-made sprite of a female ranger with the conceptual sleeves, you won't find anything else xP

I think I saw around these threads female RG and shura just like this male shadow chaser, but I couldn't find them...

Deses - I think it's actually in one of the patch threads. Check around late November.

Anyway. So, I was searching through the older posts, and...like, you know how when the hats were released everyone said that the chasers should have the Midas Whisper and the genetics should have the Shadow Crown? (I still agree because the last thing chasers need is something that makes them look even more flaming - on the other hand, the last thing genetics need is something that makes them look even more flaming, so it kind of evens out.)

I had to go back, but look at the male genetic:



I didn't even notice that until now. At any rate, I know at least the female RG is standing in front of the male RG, though I'm not sure of the posing of male/female sura. (I think that male might be in back. But IIRC, for both monk and champion, the male art was in front.)
