Default Sorcerer Speculation

So, i donīt know if thatīs true, but i found some skill concepts in Ro future Wiki, there says:

Most probably Sorcerers would get new utility, debuff, and disable skills.

Working on the last statement, it may seem that Sorcerers will most likely get spells that will exceed that of Warlocks...not offensively, but of usefulness. Scholars obtained SP-manipulation (i.e. Soul Burn, Soul Change) and magic-supplementing skills (i.e. Double Bolt, Memorize), so the trend follows for Sorcerers, with a more useful magic (to which I prefer to call Practical Magic) skill set at their disposal.

I still strongly hope that Gravity decides to strengthen Sorcerers with the deep study of dragons, maybe adding a summon dragon skill or granting dragon-like resistance to magic and such. That way, obtaining Dragonology will not become an option anymore.

They said we'd be summoners. So I'd say summoning fire/water/wind/earth/ghost elementals D: ? They also said that sage/scholars lacked offensive skills. But since warlocks get all the AoE goodies, I'm taking a big guess that we would get something like more powerful single target spells.

there're no concepts released, I don't know what you want to talk about ?

- yes, Sage Class has been anti-magic from the beginning. It also has some buff (endow/ element fields) and debuff (dispell) skills as "well" as damage skills (HD).
- Sage is useless after renewal, since the skills got nerfed, or any skill is overwhlemed by a 3-1 skill
- Sorcerer is said to get an element WLs can't use (the left ones are Dark, Holy and Undead (or a new one))
- Sorcerer is said to be a summoner

I'd say wait with this thread until there're more infos/ concepts

Sorcerer should be the best class to face off a Warlock, following the all times classic logic of ragnarok. Sage > Wizard. However, i'm afraid of what will they get to accomplish this role, since other classes are already getting quite nice anti-Wiz gameplay. So, if Sorcerer is supposed to get something even more effective against Warlock, all i can imagine is... real ugly.

Summons would be nice, Elementals or Monsters, even dragons, and those summons might even have Magic on their own, so if Sorcerer is able to summon strong thingies, Their PvP play will be fun and hard to deal with.

Single Target magic is also their territory, is only logical that they'll get higher 1-target Damaging skills than Warlock. However, it would be crazy if Sorcerers get a 1 target skill as strong a Tetra Vortex. But their 1-target magic even if the %Mod is lower, will most likely be quite spammable, to output Warlock's 1-target Dps.

I think they will also get powerful defensive spells, something like Blinking or Good Damage reduction spells, as well as tricky magic, and i can totally see a Memorize II coming that will passively decrase Fixed casting time, making this class quite strong, they could also gain a spell that gives phen-like effect (even on WoE), during a set period of time.

My prediction is, Sorcerer will take the role of a real good magic class of Ragnarok.

Maybe summon dragons,high magic/resistance growths and caps,average cast speed which makes them solid magic-users and lock multiples spells at once...

I would like if they get some type of endow, or ability to create an item that gives the target the Whirlwind/Volcano/Deluge special buffs. Like a Fire enhancer endow that increases atk if wearing fire element armor, a Wind enhancer that increases flee with wind armor or a Water enhancer that increases max hp. Kind of like an endow for the armor, but instead of giving them the element, they give them special buffs when the target IS that element. Maybe even make it work in reverse. If you fight a water element monster, you can cast the wind enhancer as a debuff and lower the targets flee, etc.

Nah, that would be too bad or too good.
Why? Because now you don't need to have correct element for getting benefits, or at least was written in a update. I'm quite sure no one tested, but I think that's how it is.

So, if you need to endow your armor for getting bonuses, the land enchant would be really better. If you don't, a scroll for getting +15%HP is WAY too OP.

the three element field got changed in Renewal. You don't have to wear the right armor anymore to get the 2nd bonuses.

I understand you don't have to wear the element for the field, I'm talking about a different skill that works on a person and WOULD have to check element. However, even if you drop that, I think the debuff form were you hit the monster with the opposite element would be... well not good really, but something. haha.

i wouldn't mind if this would be the sprite for sorcerer...

anyways, we all have great ideas for this class...

the description says practices magic of five elements... those are definitely fire, water, wind, earth and ghost...

the cocnept would most likely be single target as opposed to the warlocks multiple target spells... another feature that would most likely be considered is the spell reflect concept, which would cancel a spell casted on the sorcerer and cast that spell with half the cast time on the opponent who first used it...

endows would also be more efficient as stone creation, which allows the sorcerer to convert normal stones into elemental ones...

another possible skill concept would be summoning... in this case, simialr to how warlocks summon their orbs...

i would also like to see sorcerers become more adapted for large-scale battles... and have more strategic skills than profs and sages

About the sprite, i hope that i donīt need to wear a dead animal again x_X

EDIT: I saw the interview with Gravity about the 3-2, they said that sorcerer would have summons, iīm just so excited to see that x3

Well, seeing how they used the old GM sprite for Mados, I think it's very well possible they use the old Trans designs for 3-2.

Most 3-1 sprites are completely different from their 2-1 versions (except ABs), so I hope they create different sprites for 3-2s. The old Minstrel and Scholar sprites were way too similar to Bards and Sages (but they were awesome).
