rsrs so true, BRO Forum should be erased ........, well every players in BRO that do not follow renewal updates here or in any other place will be deadly surprise, they simple have no idea of what is going on

and I would like to congratulate IROWIKI staff, this is one of the best(if not the BEST) RO forums, people of all places came here to discuss not only in renewal thread but in all of then.

That's not exactly correct, special formula skills such as acid bomb and asura (and dragon breath?) were not reduced even though normal skills were.

Nice to see that Asura's damage is now reduced properly by reduction gears. But even with reductions, I don't think I'd survive that kind of damage though.

The problem is that the skill that is supposed to protect you against Asura, Safety Wall, has changed in renewal so even SW wont protect you because Asuras damage is so high it 1-shots you even with SafetyWalls 25k hp buffer..

jRO test server is up for some reason and people are testing out some of the changes.

Mob defense returned to korean renewal levels.
Monster magic attack changed.
Player magic attack changed.
SW defense possibly increased?

Here's a video of a mandragora test.

http://zoome.jp/poii/diary/25

Testing of Howling of Mandragora changes on jRO. I don't have anything to compare to but it looks like it takes longer to cast too.

[Effect]
Adds 3 second fixed cast time to all skills. Cast time cannot be reduced by bragi. Duration at level 5 is 30 seconds.

[Range]
The max effective distance was 10 cells from the caster. At 11 cells, we could not get it to work (0/5 tries). Did not test to see if line of sight was needed.

[Party effect]
Does not affect party members, even though the skill description says all targets.

[item resitance]
Tested green potion and panacea, could not remove the status.

[Status Resist]
Vit and Luk reduce the effectiveness. 100 of both stats won't grant perfect resist however. With 100 vit and 100 luk, the skill was effective 1/16 tries.

Dragon Breath isn't influenced by ATK. It calculate in a particular way. Its formula seems like the Gravity's planning intention.

But, the asura and acid is affected by ATK. Now, Bugs edited and cranial was nomalized.

In all seriousness, though:

1) I thought SW was based off of the HP of the caster. (Which...uh...would be about 25k in the case of a warlock, so never mind. orz)

2) I dunno. Something seems to be weird about the screenshots that were posted - I guess that it could be damage variation, but the shot with the Asura on the scholar with cranial was about 13% less damage than the shot with ogretooth. The damage difference should be about 7%, right?

Guessing that the sura does 250k to begin with, that means he should put out around 190k (a bit less, but rounding up) with ogretooth and 175k with cranial. Both numbers are in the ballpark (193k and 168k), but...

3) I thought sky petite didn't affect DB, either. That's what I heard (granted, through THE INTERNETS).

Actually, remind me: The feruses (green and red) are earth(fire)/dragon/large, right? (I'm using feruses because...uh...that's what rune knights ride.) So, by that logic, mysteltainn should work on Dragon Breath if sky petite works on it.

More importantly, if it's a dragon-race skill, it should one-shot everyone wearing Battlegrounds armor sets, since they receive reduced damage from demihumans at the expense of taking 3x damage from all other races. And while people have gotten their knickers in a twist over Dragon Breath, I imagine that we'd hear a lot more howling if everyone from BGs was getting one-shotted by rune knights.

However, it's known that elemental reductions (as opposed to elements) don't work against Dragon Breath. So...it may very well just pierce all reductions as opposed to being non-human race.

@ Inferno Nightblade

Not many people wear BG set in iRO as far as I know ( ie no one I know uses it)
It is rather subpar compared to KvM set and high end trans gear

So its rather likely if Dragon breath was dragon property, no one would notice through BG set oneshotting (scrubs who wear BG set would be expected to oneshot anyway)

Also mounted RK is large size as is a Ferus, dragon breath should always be affected by anti-large, I am pretty sure that dragon breath only works while RK is mounted on dragon

Dragon Breath is NOT dragon property. Why do people keep thinking it is? As W I N D stated it does not use Atk at all and hence not affected by ANY reductions or resistance.

Just to add to that. All players are also considered medium regardless of mount, with exception of baby class, who are small.
