09/23/2009 - Maintenance (Genetic Update)

Common Patch

- When logging in now if you fail 6 times, you'll receive a temporary block for 1 minute.

- Corrected the comodo minimap.
- Fixed staff of destruction[1] and divine cross being breakable.
- Corrected an issue with the weight check on the rune sales NPC.
- Corrected the level check on the old god item creation so that you can make it with a level 99 ~ 150 character.
- Corrected the stats of the monster "Valkyrie".

Main Server

- Updated the homunculus experience table.

Sakray Test Server

- Genetic class has been added.

- Updated the BOT countermeasure system.
- Removed the 2% tax on street vending.
- Added the fall season event.

Before, when you vending, 2% of your income would be taken by server, serves as "tax fee". I don't clearly understand the reason, though, but they said something along the line of "to stable the economy".

Thanks DSveno. I thought that this only applied to the merchants who were selling outside the sidewalk, like it was a way to arrange the otherwise chaotic Prontera market.

And with all the rest, what kills the efforts of true players in "making a honest living" ingame. Good bots are banned bots, period. Although I also think that we will never get rid of then...

True indeed, Devil-Cry XD.
But heck, the new block system is WORSE than the previous. Here in bRO we already asked Gravity to REMOVE the block, because ppl were abusing it to stop other players from playing in WoE and similar (get the other one login, stop him from playing forever), and now they put an even faster block? Well, you could take down someone trying to log into your account, but that's about it. Gravity asked us not to remove the block, and they come up with that? Lame =/.

Also, need sprites! We already know the skills XD.

And that new step on bot countermeasure gives me a slight hope of something being done about it. But again, it's Gravity... I give 1 week for botters to break it.

I don't know what to be more happy about, Anti-BOT measures or Genetics.

It sounds like with the enormous inflation on some iRO servers that a tax like that might actually be a good idea...
