Common Patch
- The paradise group quest "Troublesome Marionette" was replaced with a new quest. (Gold hair collection changed to Wild Boar Mane collection) - Changed an incorrect note about the combo use of the Champion Skill "Chain Crush Combo". - When using a consumable item, it will now show that a skill was used if the item casts a skill. (ex: Fly Wing -> Teleport, Butterfly Wing -> Teleport, Magnifier -> Item Appraisal, etc.) - For the cute pet "Baby Desert Wolf", corrected the description for the intimacy bonus option stating it gave MaxSP + 50 when it should say MaxSP + 20. - The rogue skill "Close Confines" skill description is changed. Before: For 15 seconds, forces a single target to be unable to move. During the skill duration both the caster and target cannot move. While locked you receive +10 bonus to your evasion. If one of the two dies, teleports or gets separated the skill cancels. After: For 10 seconds, forces a single target to be unable to move. During the skill duration both the caster and target cannot move. While locked you receive +10 bonus to your evasion. If you teleport/flywing/butterfly wing, get separated by a knockback skill, or go into hiding status, the skill is automatically cancelled. Does not work on bosses. - Some monster arrangement and spawn times were changed. odin_tem03: "Valkyrie" respawn time changed. Various Maps: "Hydra" spawn adjusted. Various Maps: "Mandragora" spawn adjusted. Various Maps: The immobile "Whisper" spawn adjusted. gef_fild10: Number of Orc Lady's reduced, number of Orc Warriors increased. gl_knt01: Number of Raydrics increased. gl_knt02: Number of Raydrics increased. gef_dun02: Number of nightmares decreased, number of Deviruchi and Marionette increased. Sakray Test Server - Episode 13.3 update added. <<Episode 13.3: El Dicastes>> The adventurer's haven gained good will with the Sapha tribe are invited to travel to their capital city. Find the Sapha Tribe envoy at the Midgard Expedition Camp in the Ash Vacuum. - Many quests and daily quests added to El Dicastes. - With the episode 13.3 update, the episode 13 update new world monsters level has been adjusted. - The cat hand are now assisting adventurer's in reaching the new world. Talk to the Cat Hand member in the Paradise Group base. (Req Level: 70) The existing new world access prerequisite quest still exists.- The cat hand near El Dicastes can perform new equipment refining service. On dic_fild01, using "Proof of Sapha's Honor", you can buy new special items and use the new refining service.-------------------------------- - Please read the notes about the episode 13.3 three stage enchantment process. The following items are added with episode 13.3. Available ItemsThe first stage adds one of the following options at random to slot 1. (Requires 1 "Proof of Sapha's Honor")
Notes:

Oh nice, a new episode. Not having another rebalance makes me sad, though, even though they un-nerfed the extra SP consumption for EDP'd skills. I guess that's okay.
This new bonus stuff seems cool. I wonder if you can add bonuses to all kinds of weapons (using them on weapons makes a lot more of sense than using them on armors), or only on the new stuff we can buy with Proof of Sapha's Honor? Ah yeah, I also hope El Dicastes is pretty. And that we get many new monsters too.

So they are putting more of the enchant slots to use even if only in a few new items, nice. I wonder how the Proofs of Sapha's Honor will be obtained...

I don't know if I missed something, since I havn't been following Renewal very closely for a while, but was it REALLY necessary to make EDP and Grimtooth incompatible? Is there a good reason for doing it, or are they just trying to nerf EDP still?

EDP was a bad concept in the first place. Trans skills were meant to compliment 2nd classes. While most of the other 2nd classes get some sort of skill that improved their class in some sort of way, Assassin Crosses get EDP that Quadrupled most of their offensive skills. While that (sorta) worked for Assassin Crosses, Implementing GXs with EDP was the problem.
Other 3rd classes wouldn't perform much different had they went trans or not, some might be a bit more powerful, but GXs that didn't went trans were clearly disadvantaged losing out 4x damage output of those that went trans. I believe Gravity is trying to fix this and lessen the gap between GXs that went trans and GXs that didn't. EDP becomes a skill that gives considerable damage increase, but just not 4x greater like before.

If I understood it correctly, EDP gives 3x damage to anything except Grimtooth and 1,5x damage to CI,SB,SD,CS.

That makes me curious. Have they changed something in how all ASPD itens work? This demands testing as soon as the server opens.

Why the heck did they nerf that? Well, if they are going to buff up the base damage of GX's or buff up our poisons then I am all for it on nerfing EDP. Just remodel the assassin class already Gravity O_O |

Nice patch but still no word on how do they expect high lvl assassin crosses/guillotine crosses to farm karvo and the other stuffs:S If I understand it correctly above lvl 65 nothing will drop it (Remover is lvl 55 and is the highest lvl source). Anyway my oppinion is still that they could fix the edp problem with a much more sipmlier solution by making edp multiply damage by 2 and not 4 or 3 and it would be still effective but not that overpowered. But now a crit build with high aspd still makes 3X damage so its like a couregament to make pure crit builds and don't use skills and be as boring like 1 skill crosses were. Instead of edp+link+sonic, edp+crit. I think they are still missing the point of the assassin class. It's not the stand in front of the enemy and hit while hp/sp lasts.. And while they still nerfing/de-nerfing edp, venom splasher and some other skill (not only assassin class)are still useless in both pvp and pvm or woe, not to mention homunculus s and sorcerer skills and a lot of things still missing.

the dark pingicula in the new world dungeon also drops karvo.
I'm kinda annoyed at the grimtooth nerf. Make it do half dmg instead when under EDP instead of not being affected at all. Or just make EDP affect skills but make them all do half dmg and be done with it |

As far as I know, only monsters far above your level (like, for example, Satan Morroc versus your 1/1 Novice) get smaller item drop rates. Unless that's been changed recently, or unless it didn't work like this after all.
