Main Server Patch

- Episode 13.3 update added.

<<Episode 13.3: El Dicastes>>
The adventurer's haven gained good will with the Sapha tribe are invited to travel to their capital city.
Find the Sapha Tribe envoy at the Midgard Expedition Camp in the Ash Vacuum.


- Many quests and daily quests added to El Dicastes.

- With the episode 13.3 update, the episode 13 update new world monsters level has been adjusted.

- The cat hand are helping adventurers get to the new world. Talk to the cat hand member in the paradise group base. (Required level: 70)

- Added the new permanent shop headgear "Snowman Hat" for sale.

- Added new episode 13.3 related items.

Common Patch

- Christmas event has started. Christmas decorations can be found in the following towns: Alberta, Aldebaran, Geffen, Hugel, Izlude, Prontera, Prontera Church.

- Corrected the skill description for the Priest skill "BS Sacramenti" showing the max level as 1 instead of 5.
- Corrected the weight capacity of Royal Guard.

- Fixed the MDEF + 4 option of the Casting Robe [0] being omitted.
- High Heels[0] have had their defence increased from 4 to 10 to put it in line with High Heels[1].

- Corrected the tournament shield description stating it increased aspd instead of decreased.

- Corrected the aspd modifiers on the following items: Giant Axe, Kamaitachi, Wind Hawk, Librarian Gloves, Dark Knight Gloves, Kandra.

- Corrected textures related to the exhibition items in Brasilis.

Sakray Test Server

- Added a close button on the shortcut bar is linked to the quick shortcut bar. Closing one will now close the other.

- Added a shortcut key for the buttons on the basic information window. (Shortcut Alt + `) Only usable when the basic information window is small.

- The 'Close all Windows' button will close all open windows and display only the character and background.

- Added royal guard skill balancing.
Canon Spear
  • The damage radius is increased from 1 cell to 3 cells.
  • The skill damage formula is adjusted.
Vanishing Point
  • SP cost is changed.
  • The skill damage formula is adjusted.
Trample
  • When breaking damage traps, there's a chance you won't take any damage.
  • The chance increases based on the users stats and skill level.
Shield Press
  • The skill damage formula is adjusted.
  • The stun chance and duration is adjusted.
Pinpoint Attack
  • The skill damage formula is adjusted.
Force of Vanguard
  • The chance of getting rage counters when taking damage is changed.
Rage Burst Attack
  • Cooldown time is removed.
  • SP cost is changed.
  • The skill damage formula is adjusted.
Exceed Break
  • The skill damage formula is adjusted.
  • The variable cast time is changed.
  • SP cost is changed.
Over Brand
  • The skill damage formula is adjusted.
  • The damage radius is adjusted.
  • SP cost is changed.
Prestige
  • The defence increase is adjusted.
  • The amount gained is based off of the skill level and the learned level of defending aura.
Banding
  • The sp maintenance cost of the skill is adjusted.
  • The attack and defence gained from the skill is adjusted.
Moon Slasher
  • The variable cast is now 1 second.
  • The cooldown time is changed to 6 / 5 / 4 / 3 / 2 seconds.
  • The skill damage formula is adjusted.
Ray of Genesis
  • The HP cost of the skill is adjusted.
  • The skill damage formula is adjusted.
  • The skill is changed so that if you do not have 2 or more Royal Guards in banding, the skill can still be used if you are in Inspiration status.
Earth Drive
  • The skill damage formula is adjusted.
  • The skill was changed to deal damage to hiding enemies.
  • The chance of breaking your shield has changed.
Hesperslit
  • SP cost is changed.
  • The skill damage formula is adjusted.
  • The skill is changed so that if you do not have 2 or more Royal Guards in banding, the skill can still be used if you are in Inspiration status.
Inspiration
  • The SP cost of the skill is changed.
  • The following effects have changed:
    • When casting the skill the experience drop is reduced to 0.1%.
    • When casting all buffs and status effects are removed.
    • While active, blessing and increase agility has no effect.
    • While active, you cannot use items.
    • While active, your natural HP and SP regeneration is stopped, and you cannot recover HP from skills.
    • While active, you cannot receive status conditions or be affected by guillotine cross poison.
    • While active, the wanderer/minstrel effects deep sleep and fury have no effect.
    • While active, the shadow chaser body paint and masquerades have no effect.
- The following prerequisites have been changed on the Royal Guard's skill tree.
  • Ray of Genesis: Grand Cross Lv 10 -> Grand Cross Lv 5
  • Reflect Damage: Reflect Shield Lv 3 -> Reflect Shield Lv 5
  • Piety: Faith Lv10 -> Faith Lv 3
  • Inspiration: Ray of Genesis Lv 1 -> Ray of Genesis Lv 4
  • Vanishing Point/Moon Slasher: Spear Quicken Lv 1 -> Spear Mastery Lv 1

Ranger Skill Details UPDATED ON: June 02, 2010

Blitzstrike, the purple haired hunter:
kRO SakR: 150/50. New favorite trap: Firing!
iRO Valk: 74/45 lost motivation to level...

Currently waiting for this new favorite skill to be nerfed cause I just know Gravity will do so... Just watch as they make Firing stay on the field for 1s after it detonates!

So Inspiration is kinda like Frenzy now with disadvantages like:
-disallowing all hp recovery from skills/items
-disallowing natural sp recovery (you can still use sp items?)
-you lose your buffs
but as trade-off for all these disadvantages you get several advantages:
-you can use Hepserus Lit even when not in banding
-you can use Ray of Genesis even when not in banding
-you are unaffected by Shadow Chaser cripling skills
-you are unaffected by Guillotine Cross poisons
-you are unaffected by Minstrell/Wanderer DeepSleep/Frenzy-status

Sounds quite interesting and like a nice patch for Royal guards, i wonder what exactly they changed with all these damage formulas.

@Atum: It is stated that you can't use items period. Though I wonder if you can heal via skills like Renovation, HP regeneration, Warmer and etc. Or does it really mean absolutely no heals at all compared to Frenzy. Edit: Also I wonder if you can get healed by Banding? It would make the no heal thing less effective if you could just heal the other RG(s) to refill your HP every 10s.


Side now can anyone tell me the effects of Dark Knight Gloves and Kandra?

I dunno if inspiration is better or worse now. On one side, its terrible not being able to recover HP/SP or use items. But on the other, being immune to pretty much every status effect or debuff is just as crazy D:

I wonder if you can recover hp/sp by using items like moonlight dagger, rideword hat or hunterfly card.

Maybe they're slowly modifying all aspd-items to the agi/200-formula instead of "-% difference between current aspd and 193 aspd" or give them fixed +aspd like Alcabringer?

'cause, strip is not a status effect right? This was tested with Deadly Infect if i remember well...

Without buffs and not being able to heal yourself up... if someone divests you, you're dead.

It's probably the same thing as battle chant/gospel, where you lose all your buffs and status effects, including divest.

Yeah, because that i said "after using", they lose all buffs/debuffs when use inspiration, right? Just like gospel...

...but, yeah, they can still use gospel to remove divest.

One question for testers: Gospel removes the Inspiration effect?

I think they was investing on the new episodes and because of this some updates was boring. But now, with the incredible work finished in episode 13.3, I think they're investing all efforts on 3rd class balancement. The proof is this update with incredible news ^^

Ninja weapon got improved a bit. I`m do hope that they`re fix Gunslinger`s ASPD problems with Gattling Fever, Weapons and reduce Revolvers Base ASPD to Gattling level.

@Existent:
The same was said for Frenzy but even in that state you can e healed by Renovatio and other skills too.

@Atum:
Yes there is another one. If you have a korean friend to translate the 13.3 quests, you will no why. I won't spoil anything but if you really want to know talk to Doddler or my Guildmate Heris.

@rafah:
IIRC, it was stated in the RG thread that it is removed.

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!! I was waiting for this too long time T_T

I was only waiting the Royal Guard balance from Gravity and they did it!! But it's strange that no one single reflect skill or conditions has been modified...

Well, really nice patch, I think, i should use these "festival days" for playing RO again and test a little more my old Royal Guard T_T

You should!!! I lvled your RG high enough for it to get Spell Shield so lvling should be easier!!! Once you get into the lvl range of the new world monsters lvling there is great! You can do the quests while your at it to access the new dungeon in doddler's video. The exp there is CRAZY!

I'll probably get to 150 there while waiting for MvP's to respawn when I get back from vacation.

Don't forget to update/redo the compilation! Adding info like Damage %, cooldown and reuse delays, and making it neat and clean like other compilations would greatly be appreciated.
