About the Eden Group

Hi everyone, well, I'm getting back to RO now, and I even already started. I may have stopped before the creation of the Eden Group, and then I started, I'm there leveling up normally when I found about it.

I want to know, is it worth it? How good are the eden group quests? I checked in the iRo Wiki site, it's pretty simple (like those 3D MMO, kill 10 of these and ok).

it only gives base exp, no job exp T____T
i personally rather go to kill monsters which are 7~10 lvls higher =p

Oh, I see, and the rewards? There are some for equipment... are they good?

There's 3 different types of equipment you can get from them, the higher the level the more effective, in theory, the equipment. It's pretty nice base equipment if you've got nothing else, and they even give you a weapon that's relevant to your class.

Equipment is usually good def, +300 HP, +50 SP, +14% HP reco, +5% SP reco, -10% damage from neutral attacks. (armor-shoes-garment)

So its like having a few nice cards on slotted gears.

You can find Eden Teleporter NPC @ prontera 123,76 (looks like novice with elven ears)

Also it's good to note that the Eden gear has more def then the gear you can buy from NPCs, they are basically refined to +4 from the NPC sold equivalent and weight 0.

Weapons: saber II (170 attack, one handed), Slayer II (185 attack, 2 handed), Mace II (163 attack), Staff II (120 Mattack, +2 int, 1 handed), Pistol II (60 attack), Bow II (120 attack), Dagger II (158 attack, 70 Mattack).

Hat has 5 def and can be enchanted for free for +2 of the stat of your choice (permanently).

At which point do they not give you the weapon for doing the quest?
Everytime I do the quest is just says, "you are too high to recieve the weapon," even though I could of used that mace :/

I did the quest on a lvl 93 Wizard with no problem, what lvl and class were you?

P.S. Note that the weapons are all lvl2 versions (I have no info on the lvl1s), I had only second job characters when renewal hit and even the lowest at lvl 66 went straight to the final quest and got a lvl2 weapon and lvl3 gear(both highest).

What? Where? And why doesn't any NPC tell you about this?

By the way, can you do the equipment quests after going Transclass again, or do you need to get rid of them when you talk to the Valkyrie and then lol good luck newbie?

Its the same guy that gives u the equipment.

About trans: dunno, but equipment has lvl restrictions.

Did one on my sura and 3 ~lvl 83 trans chars. Im about to do it again on lvl 60 trans.
Im guessing you might not get them if your trans?

What I meant is that if the equipment quests can't be taken again if have already done them as a non-transclass. For example, you do all of them as a Rogue, the NPC doesn't give you the 70+ quest (because you have already done the three equipment quests), then you go trans and [she gives you the quests again / she does not give you the quests again].

Probably, the eden gear quests were added to help new players and seen how trans/third jobs aren't new players they don't qualify for the weapon I guess. You might want to report it, it might simply be a bug.

@ Bluefox: The same guy who gave your gear has the option "upgrade equipment", he'll tell you that right now the only equipment that can be upgraded is the Eden Hat, choose the stat and you get a +2 bijou (like hidden enchant) of the stat you chose on your hat.

I hope you keep your eden gear when you trans, it does weight 0 after all. All the gear my 94/50 wiz wears right now is 75+ lvl only. The eden gear would make lvling as a High Novice/Mage easier since I wouldn't have to buy temporary low lvl gear.

You should be able to take more than 1 quest @ the time, that would save you a lot of trips.

I only did the exp quest once because the quests monsters were the same I was lvling on, there's a delay after each quest and you get no job exp so I gave up on doing them ever again. What's the point of a repeatable exp quest that slows down your lvling anyway? Unless I was doing it wrong or something.

Depends on the quest. On most quests, there is no delay.

On the 11-26, you can do different quests, but repeating them has a delay.

On the 71-85 quests, you have a delay on different quests (24 hours or something, I think), and you CANNOT repeat a quest (so if you do the clock tower quest as a rogue, as I did, you can't repeat it as a stalker).

Also, as I recall, the 41-55 and 55-70 quests do give significant job experience (although it's 2:1 in terms of base:job - which, honestly, is a bad ratio considering most monsters give more job than base post RE at that level!)

The main problem with Eden - and this is something with kRO, I think - is that you can't do multiple turnins at once, unless it's an item collection quest (like, for example the level 55-70 "Paint The World Green" quest which requires 40 maneater blossoms). It's great for something like Yggdrasil, where everyone is n00b, but on Ymir or Valkyrie, you're better off getting connections.

I did the 71-85 Clock quest with my slinger, and gainned 2 base lvls and 1 job (1 base and 1 job from hunting). Spent the same amount of time killing *insert monster I hunted here* and gainned 2 bases and 2 jobs. I'm not leaving my hunting grounds for lower exp results, might not be true for lower quests no acces to them.
