Arch Bishop: Job Change Quest

So it's just me or the quest is broken as fck?

I've tried like 10 times and sometimes I get no scroll and the other ones I get kicked out in less than 10 minutes

Ya I got that too, just had to keep trying

i think if you move without opening the scroll the scroll goes away. also, if you run too far away from the slow @ss merc, it might be getting killed when it doesnt teleport back to be with you to catch up.

i found once you kill the first valk, to take the outside path to the other valk is much faster/easier since there is no spawn that way and its easier for your valk merc to keep up

Lol, ur probably the other HP doing the quest with me the other night. i finally killed both valks n made it to the mid without being d/c. once u get to the final valk to change try to walk back n forth till the chat comes up. don't even try clicking on the valk to talk to it, u'll end up click so much u d/c lol.

i also had trouble. try running past every mob< alterneting weither u hold alt when you click to move. agi and KE ur valk then just sanc/heal bomb the valks you have to fight. finally got it this time with this strat and got DCed at the end. then i did it again and it worked

I let my valk die multiple times...it didn't fail me and I just whacked the evil ones. What got me was the short short time limit that isn't mentioned anywhere, that drops you out of the map and doesn't tell you why other than you suck.

Yeah, it's broken.

Speed potion really help here except the last part, you'll get DCed if you walk to fast

I got d/c'd at the end about 6 times before it finally worked. Ridiculous.

Took me a long time tonight to get the quest done.
Got kicked out during the first valk fight, lol. I dont know if theres a certain time limit to get from point A-B, but it seems almost random at times when they kick you out. Im not even sure thats the case because 5 times I did the run with "Enchant Blade" thus killin the valks very fast and I still got kicked out somewhere during the run. Would be nice if they told you why they kicked you out (like, "you werent fast enough, try again")

I even got kicked out when talking to the final valk (like 2 chat boxes before he turns you into an arch bishop).

2 DCs and like 10+ runs later I got it done.

Just a tip for those having trouble with getting d/c'd at the end:

I got d/c'd as I said above 6 times. Someone suggested that if you "run too fast" you'll get d/c'd, but no matter how I did it I would still always get d/c'd no matter what. So I asked another AB about it and she said she didn't have her valkyrie with her at the end. I on the other hand did, every single one of those times. So what I did was I dismissed my valkyrie right before getting to the NPC, and when I did this it finally worked.

I don't know if that was just coincidence for me, but I just thought I'd mention it.

Another thing: For you fellow BHPs out there, don't even bother ordering your merc around. Just punch the crap out of everything and pretend it doesn't exist (or maybe you'll need to heal it).

Another tip. Bring 2 speed pots, Use a speed pot then summon the merc and put it on passive. It will keep the movement speed of and keep up with you so you can just run through the whole place.

There's a time limit and it depends on your merc. Here's how I've done it, 3/5 times (one time we took too long to get to the second NPC, one time the valk died)

Put gear on (don't laugh, someone I knew skipped this important step)
Summon Valk
Put Valk in standby
KE if you have it
Run like hell to the top left taking the shortest route possible and ignore all monsters
Kill valk
dismiss your valk
pick up horn pipe things (if you're going with multiple people I think each person needs two)
summon new valk
Run like hell to bottom middle (where the portal to two normally is) again ignoring monsters (KE helps)
kill valk #2
talk to valk
dismiss your valk
run as fast as possible to just before the middle, then go slow to trigger NPC's

I even waste 10 speed pots and get through the test. Also, you don't need to dismiss 2nd Valk merc..

My guide:

1) gear up.
2) dont use the scroll. ignore the alerts.
3) run like hell, ignore low-lvl mobs. healbomb or ME the evil valks.
4) pickup the items. go for the next valk. kill her.
5) go to the middle, but before going up the stairs, do baby steps until you trigger the npc.
