added links to the various mvp forms to the first post. idk if they metamorph from one to another or if there's a quest deciding which/when to spawn.

I'll add those skills tomorrow and maybe look at running the instances myself to get a better idea of what's where.

The bosses probably have wrong ai/mode flags. Items are almost all missing prices/bindings. Instances are missing spawn counts. All skills are missing and will probably have to be added by observation.

They metamorph in 'phases'. There are two Bakonawas AFAIK, dunno about a third.

These were my observations from my attempt at Bakonawa:

Phase 1: Bakonawa appears inside the lake. In this phase, Meteor Storms shower down, but other than that very few skills are used and it should be easy to defeat him. There is a 10 minute time limit for this Phase.



Phase 2: When he is defeated, he will move further into the lake and try to swallow the moon. You must make noise by defeating the 4 Instruments that appear. These are plant type, meaning they take only one damage per hit, and seem to have around 200 or 250 HP (forgot to Sense). While you are attacking these, Meteor Storms will continue raining down on your party. There is a 5 minute time limit for this Phase.



Phase 3: Enraged Bakonawa appears near the lake again and you must defeat him. As before, Meteor Storms rain down, but he now uses other skills such as Storm Gust, Lord of Vermillion and Break Weapon. As he grows weaker, waves of minions will be summoned every few minutes, about 15 each wave. These hurt, and ended up killing me. That's as far as I got.

The Meteor Storms do not seem to be something he casts, though... They rain down constantly on you wherever you go on the map and then stop for around thirty seconds before it starts up again.

Do you remember what their sprite looked like? I assume it was somewhat drum-like. Either I've forgotten how to match monster id's with sprites, or the sprites weren't in the patch (which seems unlikely).

They are things that are already there, the sprite of the
'monster' that gets spawned is the same as Buwaya's Weakness... Like a little Anopheles thing.

I (and my party mate) got a giant mess of sprite errors when bakonawa hit 50% hp (at about 9m10s into the 1st 10min block).... so i have a sneaking suspicion some sprites are missing.

(and hooray, i can't re-enter the instance)

the Tiyanak i was arrow storming them and they would not go away they die then new Tiyanak would replace it. They also dont cast sense

Like the monster from Robot Factory Aliot's skill Rebirth

Killed Bakonawa last night.

So easy with ME... There is no third form, BTW. There's the first, then he goes out into the lake and is invincible while you defeat the gongs and caldrons, then he becomes Enraged. The treasure spawns after that.

Drops with HE Gum:

Kalsang, Bakonawa Scale Armor, Bakonawa Doll, Ancient Grudge x2, Gold

I think he means he's invincible at first? So that would be only 2.

i'm curious, which AGI UP does Bangungot have? the constant one (Dracula's) or the one with 2 minutes delay (like Tao Gunka's)? Does it still cast AGI UP in plant mode?

Also does Bakonawa have AGI UP too?

Not sure about the AGI UP. Ralis didn't have much problem hitting the MVP with vanishing point.

You're reffering to Bakonawa i presume..? Glad to hear that..

One other thing that draws my attention,
on wiki db (and other unofficial db) bakonawa have 10 range. I'm aware it still incomplete, but is it correct?

given that he is immobile, yes, he is long ranged.

Tank in pneuma at 9 or 10 cells away and you'll find most of his targeted skills wont work.

i never would've thought its immobile
and being long ranged, DA and pneuma basically negates most of its physical attack indeed..

It actually spawns in an impassible area of the map (2 cells inside a snipable wall). The info I received didn't actually list it as immobile, but since its trapped in a wall, it definitely can't move.

(his movespeed is also given as 2000ms, which is common for immobile monsters)

edit:

Does anyone know if the buwaya decoys respawn when killed?
Does hiding manage to avoid the incessant warping?
Does anyone feel like counting the eggs/seaweed/slaves for me....

He does cast his own MS if you get too close. Though there are numerous hidden monsters (npcs?) that are casting it as well which seem to spawn/despawn according to timers. I was able to unhide some of these monsters/npcs with Ruwach, however they took no damage from it and I couldn't melee/holylight/sense them.
